The Roger Gracie Closed Guard System by Roger Gracie
Superb instructional. Simple and effective techniques but it’s Rogers teaching style, attention to detail and the way he pieces all the concepts together that sets this apart. Recommended for white all the way up to black belt.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:drastic improvements, great coach
Guard Retention Anthology Bundle by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
has really helped me with my guard retention, and has a huge amount of techniques for different situations/pass attempts. gets you out of late stage places you usually would not be able to recover from

Learn from one of the best
Shoot Fighting Submission Systems by Yoshiaki Fujiwara
This instructional from Yoshiaki Fujiwara is awesome. Fujiwara was a student of Karl Gotch and in this series he will share lots of the things he learned from Gotch. Fujiwara went on to be the main teacher for both Minoru Suzuki & Masakatsu Funaki(both the cofounders of Pancrase). While he might be a little slower at his age, Fujiwara is no less dangerous. Do yourself a favor and buy this one and have fun learning from a master submission artist.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very good contents
Sweep The World by Leonardo Saggioro
Good contents of half guad
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Generating force as a power bottom
I always thought strong finishes from the bottom were all about hard, thrusting hips. After this instructional I found out how to be a tender, supple guard player. Can’t thank Craig enough for showing us all how it’s done “down under.”
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great insight for someone struggling to guard pass
The Daisy Fresh Knee Slice by Andrew Wiltse
Not only does Andrew talk extensively about his knee slicing and the concept of his Buzzsaw techniques, he also has unlocked the idea of guard passing in my mind. I was struggling with how to pass someones guard and now that I know how to knee-slice, it has opened up multiple avenues to use many other types of passing since I can fall back on the knee-slice or use it to pressure someone into defending that while going for a different pass. He also seems like a very genuine human and an incredibly hard worker. Looking forward to seeing more of him and picking up as many of his instructional videos as I can.

The Essential Shin To Shin System by Shawn Williams
Shawn Williams is an amazing instructor, this is a complete system with several options. All angles of moves are shown and a great reference. I have been teaching this for almost a month and still scratching the surface.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Danaher does it again
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
There's all the other instructionals and then there is Danaher. If you're ever wondering what to buy then I would always default to Danaher. Never fails to amaze me.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:The most in depth guard retention course available
The guard Retention Anthology: Around and Under by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
Amazingly detailed and thorough instructional of modern guard retention. Hard to believe they managed to spread it out to over 8 volumes and there is still a second separate course on passing through the legs. Very highly recommended
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Unique details

Rick Hawn has proved himself at the highest levels of 2 sports. There are very good no gi judo instructionals out there so I think this is invaluable.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Make no friends and scare people.
Ground Marshal Leglocks by Neil Melanson
These are some of the most intense and terrifying leglocks in the business and they are effective as long as you listen and do them as directed. Neil is an innovator and makes the toughest tech seem easily applied. These will keep people honest from bottom half and make you dangerous from strange places.

Systematically Attacking From Open Guard Supine Position by Gordon Ryan
I always hated open guard supine position, mostly finding myself flattened and passed pretty easily (especially in no gi). This instructional gave me some creative ways to sweep, enter the legs and defend the passes that I've managed to add to my game pretty well- great stuff.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:Must have
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Submissions Escapes by John Danaher
Awesome instructional. Throughout the series John seemlessly integrates general conceptual ideas with a hierarchy of technical options, that may be applied from a given disadvantageous position. Concepts are explained in thoughtful, easy to understand manner. Techniques are articulated well, which makes them easier to remember.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:Prevent guard and pass!!

Great stuff from Renato, lots of setups well explained.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Lovely way to make your training partners miserable...
Cradle of Filth by Neil Melanson
Was tired of getting stuck trying to pass the guard of some of my training partners in conventional ways- so got this thinking it would provide some "outside the box" approaches for me. It doesn't disappoint. Perfect way to pass your training partner's guard at the same time as making them truly miserable- AND chain some nice finishes to it all. Win win!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:BJJ for old guys

Great workout, I’ve added it to my training.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Warmup workouts you need combined in a video
Judo @ Home Workouts by Travis Stevens
Free training from an Olympic medalist? Absolutely. This is a fairly basic workout, it's only about half an hour. However, if you're new to martial arts and are unfamiliar with a lot of the warmup exercises, then this is good practice to get you familiar with otherwise uncomfortable or unfamiliar positions. The session finishes with a jump-rope, so it would be handy to have that ready. He uses some basic equipment- like mats, a tall pad, and a foam roller, but these could easily be substituted at home and done comfortably on carpet or a yoga mat.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:Excellent for the more advanced
Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Amazing as per usual from Danaher, but I think this is more useful for blue belts and upwards. It's a lot more conceptual and I've found the more beginners think about guard retention the more they struggle. I would reccomend the open guard one is this series first. But it's always amazing value with Danaher
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Worth every penny
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I have most of Danaher's work, and I would say this stands out as the best one for a beginner to start with and get used to his style. So so good and applicable right away
