The Mirroring Principle: Fundamental Self Defense by Wim Deputter
Great instructional. I had the privilege to meet Wim in person and attend one of his sessions. As in a live meeting in this video he included a lot of practical examples, which with his ability to teach people of all ages gives a great result. The techniques of communication and behavior in difficult situations were in majority really something new for me. I enjoyed every minute of the video as well as live session.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Did not disappoint, works great for MMA, BJJ, and self defense
Sambo: The Top Game - A Blue Print For "Smeshing" by Khabib Nurmagomedov
Honestly, this instructional is lower priced than what it should be. Khabib is arguably the best MMA fighter in history, never even had a close fight except maybe one early in his career...showing the exact same techniques here he used for over a decade to mow down opponents. "Tomorrow night I'm gna SMESH your boy!"

Off With Their Head: The Arm Triangle by Neil Melanson
I really don't like to leave reviews but this instructional really deserved one. I learned the arm triangle over 10 years ago. I can get people into the position but I could never finish, and the rare times when I did finish it was a neck crank. I bought the instructional and within 30 minutes I discovered this missing detail that had been eluding me for 10 years. Melanson is a great instructor and he is really funny. So let's sum this up. Buy the instructional, have some fun watching it and fix your garbage arm triangle.

Guillotine Glossary: Finishing Mechanics by Josh Janis
I used this video and its companion to clean up my guillotine. I found it to be an excellent resource which I will refer back to in order to keep my skills sharp. I already picked up on a big mistake I have been making and probably the reason my guillotines fail so often.

Wrestling For BJJ by Jeff Glover
The application from content has improved my game considerably. Jeff's instruction is precise and clear. His sense of humor is evident and spices things up as well. I have a wrestling background and I prefer not to waste time and energy in a guard. This wrestling for BJJ instructional definitely helped refine my semblance of a game. I highly recommend checking this one out.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A taste of 10th Planet from half and Z guard (long review)
Rubber Guard: Concepts From Half Guard by Richie Martinez
In this instructional Richie Martinez teaches rubber guard from the half guard. The rubber guard is used as the basis for controlling your opponent providing the opportunity to either submit or sweep the opponent. The instructional is 1 hour 26 minutes long and comprises 21 chapters. The instructional (Volume 1 – 34 minutes) is structured firstly to teach multiple entries to the Jersey position. The Jersey position is half guard rubber guard – you are in half guard on your side, with your leg (L) is over their shoulder, your arm (L) is hugging your knee (L) trapping their shoulder and arm and your other arm is on the far side of their neck with your hand curled in a fist (i.e., palm facing you) behind your lower leg. Once the entries have been taught then Richie Martinez teaches the Meat hook position from Jersey position and this is where your arm (L) now moves from hugging your own knee to over your leg that is running across their back to hook under the armpit of their far arm and this frees your other arm to frame their arm (L). From the Meat hook position the first submission taught is a triangle choke. The next submission is the Stock, which is taught from Z Guard to the Jersey position to the Meat hook. The submission involves passing your foot (L) under their armpit and then pulling their far elbow towards the direction of the back of their head to apply a shoulder lock. The final two chapters of Volume 1 involve briefly teaching the fundamentals of Rubber guard from closed guard and a sweep from the Stock position to the top and then transitioning to the mounted Gogo. The mounted Gogo is a choke activated by your lower leg and foot across the opponent’s throat. Volume 2 (38 minutes) firstly teaches the Chill dog position, which is taught from the Jersey position. To enter Chill dog the arm (R) securing your leg over their shoulder is moved from the far side of their neck to the other side (i.e., inside). From the Chill dog position, a number of submissions are taught including Carni which is a shoulder lock; Gogoplata which is a nasty choke using you lower leg and foot in combination with your free leg applying pressure to his back and your arms pulling their head down to choke the opponent; and the Gogo clinch, which is a choke primarily applied by using your arms placed over their neck to pull the opponent’s neck into your shin. The next technique taught is the Jersey sweep which starts from the Jersey position and is used when the opponent is pushing into you. From this sweep you will end up in top position, either the quarter mount or mount position. Richie Martinez then teaches a position that he has called the Short stop. Short stop is entered from side control bottom. Rather than putting the opponent back into guard you turn to your side and bringing your leg (L) over their shoulder with the knee immediately placing pressure on their shoulder with your foot placed on the mat next to their neck. Your other leg has a Butterfly hook on their hip (R). From the Short stop position several techniques are taught including the previously taught Carni submission; an Omoplata; a sweep finishing with a knee on belly; and an armlock. In addition, a flow of techniques is taught starting in half guard lockdown and finishes with an Omoplata. Volume 3 (14 minutes) covers how to take the back from the Jersey position, if the opponent manages to pummel their trapped arm back in front of their body and the last chapter teaches a Stock submission flow. Note the Stock submission was taught in Volume 1. Richie Martinez explains and demonstrates the techniques clearly. I find that he is easy to listen to and effectively maintains my attention. The pace that the techniques are taught is just right. There is no mindless banter and he flows smoothly through each demonstration. As is the norm techniques are demonstrated multiple times from different angles. Picture and sound quality are good, as is the range of the single fixed camera. The available previews are consistent with the whole instructional. Richie Martinez teaches techniques that don’t rely on flexibility, as he uses angles so that normal people can train the rubber guard. In my opinion the techniques are interesting. They still rely on the normal strategy of firstly gaining control of the opponent and then applying appropriate and effective submissions. Unusually there are four preview chapters available, so you can get a good feel for the instructional. In my opinion, if the rubber guard or the half guard interest you should definitely purchase this instructional.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Sweep the world
Sweep The World by Leonardo Saggioro
Sweep the world isn't an understatement, after drilling some of these sweeps I have added them straight into my live rolls. The lapel sweeps have really helped to slow down some of the faster people and prevent me being smashed by the heavier people. Next stop comp.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great techniques but not well put together
The Buchecha Half Guard by Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida
As digital content goes, this isn't that well put together, it is a mash up of techniques from other platforms. That being said I use lots of the tech and it is extremely good. I would 100% recommend this.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Indeed gold
No Gi Open Guard Volume 3: RDLR & Leg Entanglements by Lachlan Giles
I agree with another reviewer, this is absolute gold. Prof Lachlan did not create a three-volume series on the open guard in order to sell more instructionals. He created a three-volume series because that is what it took to explain in detail all the transitions. You can stop on volume one, the 'K Guard' instructional, if you want a good overview of his open guard system and an excellent level of details on the K guard. But if you want the level of detail that Lachlan is known for in all the transitions that the K Guard instructional presents, get the three volumes. You will not regret. It's indeed absolute gold. And Lachlan's instructionals are not repetitive. He keeps the pace. He replays narrated rolling. He replays the position in slow motion with some cool music. But my point is, this is not the type of instructional that you watch in 1.5x speed. The material is already well paced and rich, therefore playing it in 1.5x risks missing key details he is known for. IMHO Lachlan's instructionals are the best in the industry. The quality of the content alone is already excellent, but on top of that comes an excellent editing and production of the instructional.
