Connected Reaction: No Gi Passing by Paul Schreiner
Connected Reaction: No Gi Passing by Paul Schreiner
Congrats to BJJ Fanatics for getting Paul to make a video. He is perhaps the most technical BJJ instructor on the planet, while also competing himself and training and teaching some of the best athletes in the sport at Marcelo's. Having the ability to watch and rewind and re-watch Paul teaching these techniques is like having Freddy Roach teaching you to throw a combo over and over until it's perfect. Get this video for yourself, and buy one for each of your training partners as well. Your game will thank you later.

Movement as a Weapon by Stephen Thompson
I really like the way Wonderboy teaches. I was worried that the content would be a repeat of what's on his youtube channel. While there is some overlap, there are a lot of details in here that make it worth watching. Hope to see more.

Connected Reaction: No Gi Passing by Paul Schreiner
Paul is right up there with Danher, Julio Caesar, and even Marcelo when it comes to deep efficient analysis of bjj technique. This passing series is eye opening, explained clearly and full of “duh” type moments where you realize you’ve been doing it all wrong. It will change how you look at passing and help you crush your opponents.

Loved the attention to details, not only do you learn about half guard passing but tons of general concepts that will improve your Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve met professor Dentinho a couple of years back and when I knew he was going to release an Instructional I was certain it was going to be good.

No Gi BJJ Position Escaping System by Troy Manning
A system of practical escapes from every position. I love how it applies to MMA as well as sport. No long winded explanations so super easy to go back and review. Even the techniques I use already made me aware of the little things I can do to improve. I got heaps of ideas for situations where I was stuck. Definitely going to improve my game.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:No room on the fence for sitting......
Foundation of Lethwei by Dave Leduc
Dave Leduc and his Sifu are tremendous ambassadors for a very interesting fighting style based out of Myanmar when Thailand was Siam and Muay Boran was being derived. When I reference fence sitting, it's almost a note to self, as in martial arts of course there are always going to be Charlatans, but Lethwei is NO JOKE!!! This is a punch and elbow based bare-knuckle full contact sport (with headbutts even), that could translate not only into your MMA or Muay Thai game, but also as self-defense / preservation. I learned some new things with this Instructional, and I'd imagine most would as well. If you're on the fence.......get off, this is really intricate and informative.

The Mirroring Principle: Back Defense & Being Offensive by Wim Deputter
You cannot go wrong buying any instructional video from Wim Deputter. He excels at simplistically explaining and showing you how to use the structure of your body's musculoskeletal system through the multiple concepts and techniques he teaches to substantially increase force (strength) and leverage without having to significantly engage your true muscle strength. As a 59 year old small man no gi grappler employing his systems have been game changing. I've only looked at a couple of snippets of this video on line on Facebook last night but I already used his back escape concept of forward hip hinging and grabbing the feet and reverse from back control. Not only that he's a really nice guy and when you text him with questions he writes you back or sends you a voice message like he did today before I rolled. Though we've never met in person, I consider him to be one of my coaches

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:There is no better armbar instructional out there
Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
This DVD is as powerful as when Thanos combined his Infinity Stones into the Infinity Gauntlet. Silver Fox was one of Renzo's first students and is one of the best teachers to come from the Renzo academy. Whether it is on the offense or defense Silver Fox shows high level set ups to armbars in which your opponent does not see it coming until the trap is already deep and the set up has long been active. If you buy this dvd you will learn the mechanics with the gi and without on how use the different armbar grips and what positions you can start to use your attacks from whether it be from turtle, bottom of side control, or stack passes. Would recommend this video to anyone looking to learn new mechanics, and who have been struggling with armbars from how they were originally taught.

Self Mastery: Solo BJJ Training Drills by John Danaher
John Danaher does an excellent job in explaining how to execute each of these vital techniques. Before this instructional, I was -as a white belt- utterly unaware of the importance of these foundational techniques. The cool thing has been to notice that the applications of these techniques on the mat are extremely effective.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Marcelo Garcia: The Complete North/South Choke
The Complete North South Choke by Marcelo Garcia
Great instructional. Just finished the first volume and all I can say is this is very thorough. The North/South Choke is one I have struggled with and never really gotten a handle on. This set really breaks down the positioning and the grips along with hip and leg placement and things to look out for. I will give this 5 starts based off of the first volume alone. If you have this choke down, the first volume may not be of too much help, but if you struggle, get this set.

Kimura: Enter The System by John Danaher
The best instructional videos are from John Danaher. The Kimura is sucj a strong move. Learn do it correctly. You will learn the techniques with so much detail. What I really like is how he puts everything into a system. Everyone at any level will learn something from it. I have been training jiu-jitsu for over 15 years. I find there is so much more detail and depth you can still learn. I highly recommend this.

Good content, clear video and audio. Spoiled by the DDS teaching methodology so the instruction seemed a bit disjointed comparatively. Would recommend the video highly.

Highly recommend! I'll be buying more from Garry Tonon. This instructional isn't just takedowns but how to go into submissions and many other topics.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Lovely Surprise !!!
Coming from a judo background before crosstraining with BJJ I loved Harry´s approach to the kimura. I´ve got a few details that I hope will make me better at this submission which is not very easy for me due to my small hands haha.

Diamond Concept: The Diamond Guard Frame, Shield, Elegant, Pedal by Xande Ribeiro
I took a seminar with Xande when I was a white belt and my game was elevated immediately I had some concepts to follow and immediately my guard retention and understanding of positions improved dramatically I would train at his gym if I lived close and ever since the seminar I wanted to develop the concepts I learnt further he breaks things down to a very simple and easy to follow System and since buying this program I’ve been able to practice the moves and movements and take my game to another level again
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Wow, just wow!
The Pillars Side Control Mastery by Stephen Whittier
I loved watching this set, beneficial to all without exception. Most of us who admit to being slow learners understand and are grateful for resources that BJJFANATICS has supplied. I've splurged on their dvds abundantly since the start of covid, like others I'm sure but the point of me telling you this is that of all the people, this guy understands me: Stephen Whittier. A superb orator and conveyor of position and technique highlighting key areas of common fault and possible improvement, it's unlikely there isn't anyone who couldn't benefit. With more out-of-reach tutorials unavailable to me, I found this a great resource to examine pins, more specifically side control. As an alternative yet much more thorough set on (one type of) pin, you cannot go wrong. I understand why many are inclined towards Danaher, especially the new Dynamic Pins collection with his theoretical and technical analyses but Prof. Whittier offers so much insight into this position it's an easy equal. Now I know it lacks the range of information and positions that Danaher offers, but it's definitely worth a shot and this improved my control exponentially. As an over 40, later starter, non athlete I know that Prof Whittier is approaching his classes with me in mind, or that's certainly how I felt. That's not to say there's no value to anyone else, on the contrary this set is amazing and I've already gone on to other 'pin' variations he offers such as Mount and I'm waiting to purchase the Knee on Belly series. Pillars are an invaluable resource for all levels.
