Practical Application in Real Scenarios
Battle Tested Pressure Passing by Bernardo Faria
The Battle Tested Pressure Passing system exceeded my expectations, providing a comprehensive approach to applying the over-under pass in various situations and countering potential obstacles. I initially had two uncertainties before making the purchase: 1) Would I easily understand Bernardo Faria's instructions to fully benefit from his proven expertise? 2) Should I choose this DVD or his Encyclopedia of Pressure Passing? Regarding the first concern, Faria's clear and well-executed descriptions addressed any doubts. As for the second, I discovered that this DVD serves as a sequel to the Encyclopedia DVD. Faria intentionally includes fundamental content from the Encyclopedia, ensuring that viewers are not at a significant disadvantage. While the Encyclopedia DVD delves into the details of performing the over-under, this DVD briefly covers those basics and extends the learning to address counters and various guards, truly earning its "Battle Tested" title.
Basic ***** who loves a knee cut
Basic Bitch Knee Cuts by Ffion Davies
A knee cut has become one of my favorite passes, however, I recently have become more comfortable pressure passing. Although my knee cut has been rusty this has helped shake that rust off with fundamentals of this pass as well as more advanced versions. I appreciate her teaching style and love how in depth she goes about every technique! Highly recommend, she's a great instructor, with much attention to detail!

Submitting from the Open Guard in the Gi by Helena Crevar
Submitting From The Open Guard In The Gi by Helena Crevar
I've been following Helena for the past few years and love her basic short concise style of instruction. I've been studying open guard for some time but this looks to be what I need to take me from the entries and positioning to the finishes. Already I'm seeing exactly what I need to make more submission attempts from spider guard. I was in it last night rolling and set it up good but was wondering what now? Sweep? Triangle? Get stacked and crushed? Within 10 minutes of watching today I have some good answers.
