The Panda Guard by Nikki Sullivan
One of my favorite videos to date. The guard is fun to play with. First time I pulled it off my partner was confused. Just like the coach says I hung out and just let my partner stress. Nikki lays the system out perfectly. I really enjoyed this vid.

Ageless Jiu Jitsu: Winning When You're Older or Less Athletic - Bottom Game by John Danaher
As someone starting BJJ late in life (in my 40s), I find hope in this video! I have to watch it a few times and I love every moment of this. Instructions were clear. Big fan of John Danaher!

High Percentage Gi Passes by Gordon Ryan
Excellent concepts!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Craig knows his shi*
I like how Craig thinks outside the box to constantly improve his jiu jitsu and move the ball forward. He's right again on this subject, jiu jitsu guys need to work more on getting off their backs instead of going there as a default. You should have a great guard of course but it shouldn't be your go to strategy if you plan on ever being in a fight outside of an IBJJF tournament.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Simple, unconventional, effective
Butterfly Guard Re-Discovered 2 by Adam Wardzinski

The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
Well organized video that lets you jump back to certain techniques without having to rewatch the entire video to find something. I particularly like the organization and presentation of his concepts. My rolls have improved and I find myself becoming much stronger defensively with my half guard game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Was Hesitant at First
Great instructional. I heard some fair critiques about this that you won't get good at breaking guards following instructional, since Craig's thesis is that you should avoid getting into guards altogether. There's merit to that. However, that's a bit like saying don't practice guard retention and only positional escapes. What's valuable about this is the strategy you'd employ in a competition. Give them nothing, tire them out, pass and submit. I had Danaher's New Wave guard pass instructional, so I wasn't sure if I should get it, but I'm glad I did. Danaher doesn't really cover the strategy aspect in his, more the mechanics of passes. Craig is heavy on ideas and tactics.

Best Instructional ever!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Excellent quality.
The Complete Butterfly Guard by Marcelo Garcia
The quality of this course is excellent but would be beneficial to see an option where the opponent is staying Kneeling on 1 leg and the other bent like on a squat if you know what I mean, in my humble opinion.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Keeps on Giving!
BJJ after 40: Best Practices by Mike Bidwell
SO I'm no where NEAR finished with Prof Bidwell's course... keep pressing rewind. This is DENSELY packed with value. I paid full price for this gem and got everything I needed by 30 mins in, but there's so much more. As a 55 year old Purple Belt that's a veteran Black Belt as a striker... I appreciate Mike breaking it down for us "old folks". But look here... an 18 year old would be smart to pick this up too... 'coz he won't always be 18 but he CAN be awesome right now using these moves and concepts :-) Anyway, AWESOME job. Put me down for 5 stars or more. Thanks, Mike!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Useful and effective system of movements on bottom
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
This is an excellent instructional with many gold nuggets of grappling knowledge. Wim is a very good teacher and has a perfect blend of conceptual and technical instruction. Most of these techniques/concepts I was able to apply immediately to become more 'ungovernable' on bottom. Some of the things Wim explains on using the baby bridge to off balance your opponent is mindblowing. It will make you realize that as long as you retain some mobility of the neck and spine you are able to generate pressure into your opponent and cause them to make mistakes such as giving up the underhook and so forth. There are also some invaluable lessons on his views on the basic movements of our art: the bridgeTand the shrimp. I had the pleasure to train with Wim at his gym in Belgium some six years ago and recommend visiting him and definitely buying this instructional. There are things explained in this instructional that I gradually have realized (and continue to realize!) apply over a broad range of grappling. Heavily recommended for both beginner and advanced. Thank you Wim!
