Mastering The Judo Shoulder Post by Matt D'Aquino
Sensei Matt D'Anquino teahes how to utilize the shoulder post to stop your opponent from turning and how to set up your attacks immediately out of this post. Whether by using the shoulder post itself or using it to transfrom to your favourite grips. He also points out how to change to differnt grips if your opponent negates the grip of your origin lapel hand to swith to an over the shoulder grip or into the arm drag position or to an underhook. He explaiins all the key details of the given throws very clear and easy to follow. The structure is given in way that the techniqus biuld up to each other or it can be switched in between them based on your opponent' s reaction. Never stop gripfighting until you get your grips! Now how when and how to switch your gripping strategy. This is what helped me to most out of this video series. Highly recommend!!

My second Tom DeBlass instructional (also have his excellent Framing instructional). It's a great half guard system. This and Laclean Giles Half Guard Anthology (IMO a must for half guard as well) has really boasted my half guard. Great tips, techniques and thought process.

100 Kilos Kill System by Carlos Catania
Professor Carlos Catania developed a highly suffucient system around a variation of kesa gatame. It is developed out if pressure and really forces your opponemt to react and no matter how he reacts you will capitalize out of it and get a high % submission opportunity. He always introduces the concepts behind each move in a way that makes it easy to remember the crucual steps behinf each technique. Highly recommend!!

If you want deep 1/2 technique breakdowns step-by-step, pick up Jeff’s earlier instructionals before you grab this one. Here Jeff flows through all the deep 1/2 techniques (and their variations) introduced in his prior vids with a training partner. A great reinforcer to the concepts and techniques he’s already introduced—but if you’re a beginner, you might want to start with his earlier stuff before moving onto this one. He’s definitely one of my favorite Fanatics instructors—you can’t lose!

The Berimbolo and Beyond by The Miyao Brothers
Techniques are beautiful to watch. Even if the content in the dvd is challenging for you, it will definitely inspire you to get after it! Special focus is obviously bolos, but it has other stuff. My takeaway so far is the x guard stuff from tarantula, as well as the baby bolos from dlr. Anything from the Miyaos is worth it.

Simple Judo Takedowns For BJJ Digital Only by Matt D'Aquino
Sensei Matt D'Aquino did a great job in modifying traditional judo throws for jiu jitsu by considering the common stances you have to expect and also how to deal with when your oppinent forces guard pulling. He also iffers gripping strategies and gives great follow ups for guard passing and some finishes. He points also out teally well what actions/reactions you have to be prepared for within the different scenerios. Highly recommend!!

Sony Sahota provided a very applicable instructional about foot sweeps as a set up technique and an execution technique. First he breaks down in depth what are the attacks eventually about and how you get proper hip and feet placement and motion to make the off-balance easy. Second he is going over all the different kinds of grips and how to set up to get them. Third he is explaining the techniques. He gives a step by step introduction to every technique and form different angles. Finally he is showing every technique in real speed form different spots in action - reaction set ups. He really points out when a certain grip matters and when it is more about personal perference to get the proper off-balancing and angles. Highly recommend!!!

Craig is a great teacher and explains concepts very well. He adds a lot of humor to this video. His concept of the power top already got me rethinking my game. There is a ton of info and ideas and the first hour is all conceptual way at looking at and staying on top.

Lachlan advises not to watch his instructionals straight through, but it's hard not to; this one is just beautiful. Having watched many of his instructionals over the years, it's a treat to see how much he and his team have grown in the production quality. An outstanding product about the kimura from basically everywhere. If you can only have one on the topic, it's hard not to pick this one (and that's coming from a Danaher fan!).

Finishing The Single Leg Takedown: The Art of Chain Wrestling by Cain Velasquez
Cain Velasquez opend his treasure chest about executing and fnishing out of the single leg. He structured this instructional out of the collar tie to the ****** single leg. He builts it up from the entry to the first finish of drive through to the dump if the drive through does not work and so on. He shows reactions out of every common counters of your opponent. He further shows how to switch back and forth between the variations until you get the takedown. It is about to move your opponent until you took him down. He also shows how to end up on top to finish via folding pass or weave pass or knee cut pass. Highly recommend for jiu jitus and mma too!!!
