Arm-bars through a different lens
Sambo Academy: Arm Bars by Ivan Vasylchuk
Ivan is a beast and this instructional is a gem if you love arm-bars. Very detailed step by step instructions of techniques but from a different perspective, but no less effective. If anything, the techniques might be harder to stop as your opponent will be less familiar with them…. The only downside - and I was close to docking a star - was the lack of descriptive chapter names. Chapters are just labeled as ‘Arm bar 1, Arm bar 2’ or ‘Step 1, Step 2 etc’
Response from BJJ FanaticsThanks for your review! :+1:Passing the Half Guard

The American Jiu Jitsu Pressure Passing System by Jake Shields
A pretty good look at guard passing using pressure. Pretty good job of clearly explaining the techniques which can be difficult to do with pressure passing because it is something that is easier felt than said.

The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
It’s a really detailed look at half-guard that has its’ own trouble shooting for common issues built in. I think it is really helping me get my half guard game started.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great concepts for a game that works in no-gi and gi
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Guard Passing by John Danaher
I've only been training for two years but always wanted to know how to deal with playing open guard when you can't make grips. In the gi, everything seems based around establishing a lapel or sleeve right off the bat. Well, how do you work a guard game without the cloth? John's videos are great for teaching you concepts and this one's no different. He effectively shows how to entangle the legs, even when you're not going for leg locks yet as a white belt, and get you into a guard game you can start playing effectively without gi grips. Love his material.

The Pillars of Defense: Turtle & Front Headlock Escapes by Gordon Ryan
Gordons system is obviously one of the best out there. The instruction is as good as it gets. Leaves you with a somid selection of tools and routes out of turtle and into better postions. Reccomended for anyone!
The Title is Content
The Great Escapes by Chris Haueter
Professor Chris Haueter and Co. created a complete course by dealing with all aspects of escaping. They pointing out the mental state for escaping first. Then they are explaining the importance of relentless adjustments to put yourself into the best possible scenario/spot and then of course the techniques. They are pointing out what the attacker wants to keep or get and howvto deny it. You get revesals and top pin techniques too. Highly recommend!!

Good instructional, broken english
No Gi Judo For Grapplers by Satoshi Ishii
Pros: You are learning from the most accomplished Judoka to ever make the transition to MMA and NoGi grappling. He shows a few selected techniques, but they are really all you will need if you are looking to adapt your judo game to NoGi. Cons: His English is not very good and it shows. This will probably not be a problem, as you can follow the techniques and the instructions quite well, just something you should be aware of.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Solo Drills For Jiu Jitsu-Ground Series ( Jiu-Jitsu Flo)
Solo Drills for Jiu Jitsu Ground Series by Ari Goldman
I found this Instuctional course to be very well made and filled with a lot of worthwhile drills and Information. The Instructor, Ari Goldman spoke clearly and explained the movements and techniques in detail. The Video had a high production Value, using multiple Camera angles, good lighting and sound. The chapter were broken down for easy navigation. The Course was broken down by position, starting with drills from the mount, then side mount, turtle, Guard top position, bottom of mount etc The drills were shown being performed in a variety of ways, solo, with a partner and with grappling ***** Many of the drills will be familiar and are used to perform armbars, sweeps, triangles, escapes and more I think this video would be helpful for anyone looking to get some mat time in at home, or if you are looking for drills to try with a partner, or even a coach may want to use some for his class warmups I watched Ari Goldman teaching a private lesson in the Insiders Club section of BJJ Fanatics. After watching his quality Instruction guiding Professor Bernardo through some drilling techniques I decided to get this course.

Self Mastery: Solo BJJ Training Drills by John Danaher
Don't be fooled by the price tag. This is probably the only instructional you will need for your first months of BJJ. Even if you've been in the game for a while, you will still find out quite a few things you hadn't picked up correctly. I really wish I had seen this when I'd first started - it would've made my progress much faster. Just a word of wording: Beware this might get you hooked on John Danaher !!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Absolute KING of instructionals
The Armlock Obsession by Dave Camarillo
If you've been in the game for a while, you are familiar with Dave Camarillo. If not, you are about to learn from a Judo and BJJ black belt who has created his own system (Guerilla Jiu Jitsu) blending both of the arts in the way they were originally intended, and has taught some of the best MMA fighters in the world. Don't be confused by the title, this is way more than an armlock instructional. If all you're looking for is ways to increase your finishing percentage with armlocks, look no further. But you will also learn a systematic approach to incorporating armlocks into a complete pinning system, amidst various top control positions. He also goes through standing techniques, takedowns, his unique "judo impact control" concept, and ways to transition through all of the material seamlessly. You don't need to have a Judo background to digest and apply any of the material, but I must highlight that it is probably the single best instructional for someone with a Judo background to evolve into a ground game specialist. The only shame is this is the only instructional available by him on the site.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Jiu-Jitsu Flow -Seated Guard Series
I found great value in this Instructional. The presenter Ari Goldman spoke clearly and gave good verbal instructions. The drills and movements were shown from multiple angles. The production value of this course was high, the video, sound, lighting and captions were all very professional. The course was laid out in a very logical easy to follow manner. The drills all are based around building skills and movements for techniques that you will use during live rolling, for example: Arm Bars, Sweeps, escapes and many more The course started off with drills from the mount, and then went into drills for all the different positions, side mount, Turtle, top Position closed Guard etc .. The drills were also demonstrated with different options, a grappling *****, a partner and solo, most of the drills could be done with any of the three options I recomend this Instructional for someone who wants to get some extra mat time in, I have also found it useful for a drill class I attend as it gives me some good drills to work on. Ari was a featured instructor for the Insider club and after watching his private lesson and Instruction I decided to purchase his Instructional and I am glad I did.
Response from BJJ FanaticsThanks so much for your review! :hugging:Great judo takedowns for NoGi
No Gi Takedowns Made Easy by Rick Hawn
Small but straightforward instructional. Goes over the basic setups and executions for judo throws adapted to NoGi. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who is just starting with BJJ and has no judo background, but if you're looking to adapt your judo game to NoGi, or if you're a more experienced athlete looking to diversify your takedown options, this is the best instructional you will find on the topic.
