The Roger Gracie Closed Guard System by Roger Gracie
Simple, direct instructions from one of the best to ever play the game and arguably the single greatest closed guard player of all time. Roger shows how to use the basics that carried him all the way to GOAT status. You won't need many more closed guard instructionals after this one.

Guard Retention Anthology Bundle by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
1. Lachlan Giles is the best instructor around 2. Guard retention is probably the single most important skill to master for all levels of BJJ (probably alongside escapes) 3, You get more than 20 hours of content covering basic concepts, systematic concepts, and specific guard pass responses, including live drilling and commentary 4. You invest in something that you will be using for most of your BJJ journey. Even if you were only focusing on this series, it would take you a couple of years to digest everything he shows. In full disclosure, I don't think I've even been through half of the material he shows here, and my guard retention skills have skyrocketed already.

Mastering The Lasso Guard by Marcos Tinoco
Amazing instructional and has been very helpful in mastering my lasso game!
Best K Guard instructional
Special "K" Guard by Neil Melanson
Very clear, concise instructional on the K guard and its applications for NoGi grappling and MMA. Neil uses a slightly different entry and position on the K guard than some other coaches, but imo this is the best holistic way to use the K guard without using it just as a leglock entry (he also shows a few leglocks, but it's not the main focus of the instructional).
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Absolutely fantastic instructional - excellent value too
No Gi Side Control by Pedro Sauer
A wide array of side control submissions, perfectly executed to maximise leverage, and presented in a very engaging way. Really useful instructional to have in the library as a reference for how to execute any nogi side control attack. Highly recommended. Also fully agree with the excellent review from Markus.

The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
It would be Lachlan GIles' Half Guard Anthology. It covers so much information and is so densely packed with how to use the half guard to get to other, connected positions. Also, looking back historically, Lachlan gives clear and concise instructions and shows the techniques in sparring. This is without a doubt, one of the most influential instructionals I have ever watched and typically if Lachlan has something to say about Jiu Jitsu, I am listening. Intently.

How to Defend Against Everyone by Chris Paines
Chris Paines developed an outstanding instructional about the foundation of instructional provided by postural and positional concepts for protection and defense. He was able to categorize all kinds of guards into inside and outside guards and a hybrid - half guard. He points out cristal clear what you have to be aware of within each kind form bottom and top perspective. His approach of minor and major control in terms of submission holds and chokels catches all key points in a very obvious way and easy to follow too. In terms of protecting and defending from bottom he uses the compass principle to illustrate how you always can be prepared to make the right choice in terms where to move. His concept of backwards drilling means starting from the submission joint/lock and work your way back to the entries and his approach of reverse drilling which basically means to guide your training partner through the technique you would like to explore so that you are able to fell all the differences between the different stages and levels of conrol up to the finish. If you like professor Priit Mihkelson you wll love this instructional!!!
