The Foundations of Back Control by Ante Dzolic
Before this my I felt uncomfortable on the back, now I consider it one of my favorite positions.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great for 40/50 and 60!
I’m 50! Mike reminds me to just enjoy Jiu Jitsu. Mike reminds me to just be me, to go through the process, to experiment, have fun, tap and be tapped. Seriously I tried his double lapel from closed guard on my buddy who’s 17 years my junior. I tickled his nose with the ice cream cone grip, which put him off. Totally ******* up the finish but as he passed my guard I instinctively pulled off a fundamental Kimura grip, he rolled to escape and I caught him with a threaded kimura. I surprised myself I even knew this! I love Mike’s passionate energy, he really inspires me to keep learning and not give up, even though I know I’ve got to slow down just about everyone I roll with to ensure my gas doesn’t run out. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Mike tying up his Uke and systematically demonstrating how I could evolve and do the same. As long as you spent some time on the mats, BJJ after 40 evolves into BJJ for 50+. Thank you for not writing me off and keeping me current with practitioners definitely more able than myself.
Response from BJJ FanaticsThat's awesome! Keep dedicating yourself and having fun! :hugging:I love butterfly guard and

Opening concepts already make things clearer. On the flipside, you also figure what to do on the bottom to slow or stop the pass. W instructional.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Understanding of the open guard game
Open Guard Compendium: Lower Body Guards by Ariel Tabak
This is an open guard series based on DLR and RDLR. The given szenarios are szenarios against standing opponents as well as against opponents in the head quaters position. Furthermore you get some transitions to other guards such as x guard and k guard. The teacher focuses on very clear examples and explanations of every techniques and positional aspects. It is about the position first followed by how they get dismantled and how you can counter that to reset or attack. And of course offbalancing and attacking is deeply coverd too. Recommondation!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Nice drills!
Competition Tested Gi Training by Tomer Alroy
This instructional shows some great drills and how to structure your practice using them. Some simple drills are shown followed by some more advanced drills that build off of the simple ones. Tomer explains how to chain them together. Overall, great video that will give you some new ideas when structuring a class/practice session.

The Guard Passing Anthology: Half Guard by Lachlan Giles
Lachlan shows in over 10 hours content, on what aspects you have to concentrate when you want to pass the half guard. He's a very good teacher because he shows not only a couple of fancy techniques. He rather draws your attention on the principles you should follow.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Longevity in the sport
10 for 10 Yoga by Sebastian Brosche
I have obtained many injuries in this sport. I do not want to think of my life without jiu jitsu. Proper strength training and stretching can aid in musculoskeletal injury prevention and rehabilitation. I have used these events to work through many injuries and swear by them. Yoga is a wonderful blend of the two. I love Sebastian's banter as he makes yoga enjoyable. Try out his instructional if you are skeptical... it's free!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Attack the back!
Back Attacks Enter The System by John Danaher
Danaher shows just why and how he is the greatest jiu-jitsu coach of our time (all time?) in this and every instructional. If you want to know every nuance to attack the back, maintain control, and learn his straight-jacket system, do yourself a favor and purchase this instructional.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:An in-depth look at escapes.
Fundamentals of Side Control Escapes by Pedro Sauer
Side Control is something that I have always struggled with for as long as I have been doing BJJ. I prefer being put in Full Mount over Side Control it is that bad. However with this series I have been able to address alot of holes in my game and in a short space of time I have been able, to not only fend of, frustrate, but also escape, and move into attacking positions.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Erik Paulson is a master
Killer Kesa Gatame by Erik Paulson
Erik Paulson is a master Catch Wrestler and BJJ instructor. Everything he produces is pure gold. You can't beat Erik Paulson instructionals as they are rich in technique and history. This instructional is considered CaCC and "no gi" Judo but is fantastic for any grappling style.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The way Teddy teaches...
14 Signature Punches From All The Greats by Teddy Atlas
The way that Teddy teaches is like no other. Not only is he an incredibly knowledgeable and affable guy, but his anecdotes and his way with words really allows for the information in the instructional to soak in. This is perhaps the single most important 5hing for instructional for me - even more so than what is actually being taught. If you can't recall the contents of the video afterwards and use it in training then you may well have not watched it. The concept of the video and its content are great and enough detail and examples are given for each "signature" 5o allo you to really get a feel for the "what, when and why" This video would be perfect for those new to the striking arts and/or boxing. I, however, am a previous Muay Thai title holder and experienced boxer and still found it incredibly useful and entertaining.
Must have in your arsenal
The Pillars of Defense: Back Escapes by Gordon Ryan
If you can't escape the back well... study this material and you will be extremely hard to control. You also learn the reverse of this coin, how to properly control from the back. Every Gordon Ryan instructional is gold. If you are serious about jiu jitsu I suggest getting this and many other instructionals by him and his coach Danaher. This is an immense opportunity. Just google how much a 1hr private session is with either of these two men. What a freaking steal these instructionals are!!! You just need to use them effectively.
