Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
John Danaher is gold standard in jiu jitsu today. His leg lock system revolutionized the professional game. I was going in expecting it to be really advanced but his greatest skill is making it feel simple at the same time. Its not a DVD you watch once its something you keep going back to and once you start to master it you see great results. Great wisdom, investment and his approach to the game is bar none.

Scientifically Shutting Down Modern Leg Attacks by Kade & Tye Ruotolo
I've always had trouble escaping leg entanglements during training. The techniques in this instructional have allowed me to escape leg locks or at least not get submitted and put pressure on my opponents until I can get to another position. If you can become efficient with the concepts in this instructional, your leg lock defense will definitely be solid!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
So far, this is my favourite of Danaher's. Concise, and it's meme gold (his interactions with Placido are extra hilarious). If you are like me, you've been taught many mount attacks that seem hard to land unless the person is new or makes a mistake. Danaher shows you how to systematically go on the attack. Invaluable.

Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
This one is so important. As you can imagine, Danaher uses leg lock setups a TON in the New Wave series. I felt a little lost in his excellent volume one of his Open Guard series because of the leg locks. He didn't explain the ins and outs of how they work, like he normally would (and that was probably the right choice, or else it would have detracted from the other things he was teaching). Here, he has the time to "break" (excuse the pun) down the concepts to the fundamental level. After this, I could get a lot more out of the New Wave videos. Get it.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Extremely detailed. Great series.

Escapes and Attacks From Bottom Side Control by Eli Knight
This instructional teaches escaping from the bottom position where you are either pinned in side control, north south, scarf or broken scarf hold. In the context of this instructional you will be taught to either replace the guard, reverse the position (i.e., going from the bottom to the top position) or submitting the opponent from the bottom position. Three volumes cover escaping or reversing and the last volume deals with submissions from the bottom. The content is logically ordered. The instructional is taught in No-Gi and has a total runtime of 1 hour and 24 minutes. As shown in this instructional Eli Knight is an effective instructor. He provides background to the material, clearly explains the techniques and the demonstrations shown are clear, consistent when repeated and easy to follow. However, it would have been preferable not to have both the instructor and Uke wearing predominately the same coloured clothing. Eli Knight stays on point and there is no unnecessary discussion or banter. In my experience the techniques taught are effective. It is refreshing to have an instructional where demonstrations of escaping a pin are performed by a smaller and lighter person (i.e., the Uke – Anya) against a larger and heavier person (i.e., Eli), showing that a well performed technique and leverage is central to the technique being effective. In my opinion you can be confident that the techniques will work against most people. Eli Knight in his commentary notes that the techniques may not work against all opponents, as some people will have the knowledge and skills to counter them. I respect this honest comment. The number of techniques taught in this instructional is a subset of all the available techniques, which is expected as this is not advertised as an encyclopedia of all relevant techniques. Video (quality including range, lighting and focus) and sound are good. There are lots of instructionals that teach escapes from pins, however most don’t include a range of submissions from the bottom. There is some assumed knowledge in this instructional (e.g., bridging and basic movement), but for most people this should not be a problem. For me I think this is a worthwhile purchase if you are wishing to improve your positional escapes. If you already own several positional escaping instructionals there may be some repetition in the techniques taught, however there are some tweaks that Eli Knight teaches that might improve the efficiency of your escapes and this was true for me.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
This is saying a lot, bit this is my favourite Danaher instructional so far. He's totally in his element in this one, and I found it easy to apply the principles instructed straight away. Also, there is meme gold in this one. His interactions with Placido (RIP Never Forget) are hilarious, and there's even a section that's meant to be funny, but it's also helpful (Placido's Revenge). Have you been taught lots of mount attacks, and just rarely saw an opening for them unless the opponent made a mistake? Danaher will blow your mind with his lessons here. Get it!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Open Guard vol 2: Sweeps and Reversals by John Danaher
At first, I wasn't enjoying this one as much as volume 1. Surprisingly, Danaher has a lot of repeated information from the first one regarding gripping (there's normally not as much overlap). However, the system of take downs and reversals was SO GOOD. Drilling this is leveling up my game like crazy.

Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Fantastic video. As an old guy who's just starting BJJ, I wanted to focus on escapes first. This video has great attention to detail, reviewing the moves from multiple angles. More importantly, Danaher shares his philosophy behind the instruction, which I find invaluable. Great value for money.

30 Day Fighter Challenge by Lockhart and Leith
George gives some very good information but I feel it was very scattered and not well tied up together. He gave some useful tips and his advise and walkthrough on weight cutting is extremely useful! This could of been so much better if he would of gave more infor overall and also some examples of what you should eat (i.e. specific foods) during the day.
