Excellent Instructional
Great instructional on a position that I knew very little about, even after doing BJJ for many years. Very grateful for Neil’s blending of many different disciplines. It has opened my training to many new options I didn’t know existed, and Neil is a great instructor.

The No Gi Deep Half Guard 2.0 by Jeff Glover
I usually randomly find deep half both in gi and nogi. The details on the ways to enter into deep half are incredible. Even though this is designed for nogi, I am finding it useful in gi as well. Breakdowns are simple and easily understandable.

I have had the privilege to train with Prof Fred and he is very passionate about teaching BJJ. He actively competes and so I trust the techniques that he teaches as I know he has used them before in competition form. This instructional is easy to digest for all belt levels and Prof Fred breaks down all the techniques and what to watch out for. He makes everything simple to understand and I really appreciate that type of teaching format. I look forward to Prof Fred’s future instructional! I recommend this instructional for all belt levels.

I've struggled with genaralized anxiety my whole life, which only ratchets up during competition. My doctor reccomended I try meditation and breath work, but it never really worked for me. It all felt too spiritual and hokey. I decided to revisit the idea with this video, thinking maybe by dropping some hard-earned cash the results would be different. I was right. Ross Lewin breaks down the concepts in a scientific way that really resonated with me, and guides you through the practical application of said techniques. I picked it up to help battle my anxiety, but I'm sure there's value for every athlete in here.

Special "K" Guard by Neil Melanson
Neil is a great guy, really, and a great teacher. He is transparent about his sponsors, and is believable when says he doesn’t do instructional for money but to spread knowledge. What you get is instructional like no other, in which a master shares his (deep) comprehension of a position. It is not only a chain of moves connected, Neil tries to give you the tool to understand the position and develop your own game. And, if you listen carefully, your game will truly benefit from his lessons. About the k guard, I would recommend to start with this exact instructional (even there are on the site at least one I love as much on the position, this is the perfect starting point). Ps: at some points, his behaviours with his sparring partner are really hilarious

Lachlan has a great teaching style, and the videos are easy to follow along with and contain practical material. This was a great introduction to half-guard, and will serve as a good reference as well. Strongly recommend.

As one of the top realistic self defence schools in Singapore, Kapap Academy is proud to be associated with Coach Tony Cecchine for almost a decade. At our school, we teach both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Catch Wrestling, as we believe that both styles have something to offer. My personal preference as the founder of the school, however, is for catch wrestling as I prefer the aggressive fight philosophy of this beautiful art/ style. No-gi Submission grapplers, in particular, would definitely benefit from learning from Coach Tony as his style of grappling is an exciting blend of aggressive dominance, explosive attacks and painful submissions. To my mind, it is the best grappling style for violent encounters on the streets. Congratulations Coach Tony and your crew for putting together this highly informative video. The Complete Williams Guard by Shawn Williams
This should really be called the complete closed guard. So much more than just Williams Guard. He goes in to great detail and the really small things that matter so much at the high level. For example arm pummeling and breaking posture against a highly skilled opponent. Just these 2 things alone are worth the price of the dvd.

(Pic) I like the techniques in this video and was able instantly put them in my game but I like his approach to teaching youngsters even more. this was a great reminder of how to keep it fun while teaching solid techniques at the same time

Excellent resource for pass prevention and re-guarding techniques. Includes drills with suggested timelines. Multiple angles, multiple options, clear instruction. Zahabi's use of arrows and diagrams powerfully reinforce directions of attack, distances between the two players as well as lines of sight. I also really appreciate Zahabi's brevity - short, to the point, and done. Go practice.
