Hands down one of the best instructionals on this website. Andrew cuts right to the chase, with absolutely no overly repetitive concepts and explains every technique extremely well. And it's not just submissions, but also control and how to maintain dominant positions.

Open Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher's Open Guard Instructional opened my eyes to all the options from the various guards. All in all it's a very condensed and comprehensive overview over the topic. Additionally, Danaher is a great teacher and coach. He has the ability to not only explain the concepts and principlies, but also to undermine these with concrete examples.

Survive and Escape by Matt Thornton
First thing is first. I purchased several instructional’s from BJJ fanatics and I liked a few and I did not like a few. As soon as I told him I did not like a couple they immediately refund my money so I never hesitate to purchase from these guys. Absolutely first class. I like this DVD because it is not only a great fundamental series but it gives me some insight but I never really Was previously taught. I can see this being an instructional but I go back to you several times. Very good instructional. And once again I give this company double thumbs up for standing by their product. I never hesitate to purchase from these guys.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Amazing stuff from a unique creative grappler
Dismantling The Side Mount by Jeff Glover
Jeff Glover is an amazing teacher. Anyone who has been grappling has heard about his unique approach in jiujitsu. This series is well thought out and makes sense. I know people will say it does not work or will never get in it, but I assure you this is not the case. I live in NYC and have caught plenty of people from the prestigious schools with the "traps" presented in this material. It opens up your mind and allows you to approach the game in a different format than the standard set of moves that everyone knows. Thank you so much for releasing this material.

A Guide To Understanding Te Guruma by Vlad Koulikov
As a long-time Judo And Jujutsu practitioner, I thought that I had a masterful grasp on the intricacies of this powerful and versatile technique. Purchasing Vlad K's definitive masterwork on Te Guruma, I was delighted to see that he has taken this technique to the next level and addresses all aspects of execution including variations, combinations, reversals, counters and applied strategy. With excellent production values, clarity, presentation, instructional value and zero fluff, look no further that this superior-level video instructional as your resource for exploring this classic technique.

Effective 2-on-1 Offense by Pat Smith
Another incredible set from Pat Smith. He is easily among the best wrestling instructors I've seen on this site (for me, he might be THE best). I'll be honest, I was skeptical about whether GR 2-on-1 would be useful for me. I don't wrestle GR, and I was under the impression that the GR 2-on-1 is less applicable to other rulesets like submission grappling or freestyle wrestling. Boy was I wrong! A lot of the GR 2-on-1 concepts can be applied to any grappling style -- it doesn't matter if their head is down and their hips are back. When I was a kid my coaches would always say "training Greco will improve the rest of your wrestling" and now I'm finally starting to understand the truth to this. The set has some great drills for movement, balance, and gripping that are great for wrestling in general (ie, they are not GR 2-on-1 specific). Also, after just 2 weeks of drilling daily, my grips, sensitivity, and control with the 2-on-1 have improved tremendously. Also, paying attention to how Pat demonstrates his foot placement, how he positions his body relative to the opponent's arm, and how he changes his direction based on the opponent's reaction has illuminated some of basic (but subtle) positioning flaws that I had with my freestyle 2-on-1. It also cleaned up my pinch headlock (he has a couple of chapters on this position too). My 2-on-1 has improved so much after a very short period of time. Finally, just like Pat's underhooks series, this set has some great chains and good responses to common defenses against the 2-on-1.

The Essential Shin To Shin System by Shawn Williams
Shawn Willams explains each technique so clearly and with masterful understanding. I am a huge fan of all his instructionals featured on Bjjfanatics. From the moment I started watching the first video in the shin to shin series, my personal shin to shin game improved significantly, with just a few details I was able to learn in a short period of time. I'm a big fan and am very thankful that such quality instruction is available.
