Craig Jones Delivers
Systematic Submission Dilemmas: High Level Triangle and Leg Lock Combos by Craig Jones
Craig Jones’ game is top notch and having him break it down in this instructional has been extremely helpful for my own game.

Basics To Advanced: The Leg Drag by Aaron Benzrihem
This is a very educational instructional. Beneficial for all levels and body types to learn. He illustrates how to get to and capitalize from this powerful position from like the title of the dvd says “EVERYWHERE”. Personally, I have used these leg drag techniques during every training session after adding it to my game. Found out about this through his Bjj YouTube channel and couldn’t pass this up after his half butterfly dvd! Invaluable teachings here. This dvd is worth its weight in gold.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The best instructional I've seen so far
Framing Domination and Guard Recovery by Tom DeBlass
I wish this was the first instructional I bought. The first video alone has completely transformed my game. Rolling today was good. I was completely relaxed (no strength) and focusing on the small battles. I even got a heel hook with no training (just conceptual understanding). Some other DVDs may be more comprehensive, but can be excruciating to watch. I really like Tom's direct, straight to the point style. Videos I will actually watch!

Buster Guard The Omoplata Funnel by Lou Armezzani
If you are looking for something to add to your game that counters are not normally taught, this is the video. Buster Guard is different from most other positions taught, and you don't see counters taught often. In a Jiu-Jitsu world moving towards sport, the Busta guard puts controlled distance between you and your opponent and can be used in an MMA or street situation. Because it's so different, the result is you being in a situation you are familiar with, and your opponent unsure what to do next. Unlike most other innovative positions, it is not overly complicated or requires a high dexterity level to execute. I am a 38-year-old guy with a Dad ***, but I can see myself performing the required movements. The instruction is clear, concise, and to the point. Here is the position, here are the various things that can happen during the position, and here is what you do from there. The audio is free of background noise or echoes that distract you from instruction, and the video quality and clarity are superior to other instructional videos. Simply a must-add for those looking for something that is different than what you will see in a lot of places.

This guard and system works really well. Lou does a great job breaking it down and making it easy to learn. Implementing buster guard has added a new dimension to my Jiu Jitsu.

Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
As Coach Firas Zahabi said in one of his videos "the silver fox Karel Pravec is a 100 percent technique". This man right here completely changed my BJJ game with this DVD. His style is COMPLETELY based on technique. There is no strength involved in anything he teaches. Even though I own Gordon and John's DVDs, I found that this one was the easiest to absorb. The way he explains how to go Perpendicular on an opponent who pressures you in bottom guard changed my outlook on the bottom guard position. When he showed the armlock from bottom guard using the armpit grip without having to pass the leg over, I was completely shocked. An armlock that doesn't require passing the leg over the face?! What kind of BJJ Black MAGIC is this?!! This wasn't even taught extensively in John Danaher's Juji Gatame DVD, even though he taught the top lock. This man right here doesn't use his physical strength at all. Literally, every technique he shows works regardless of the level of athleticism you have (considering of course you don't have a disability or a medical issue preventing you from rolling). I quickly ran over and bought his DVD after seeing him on YouTube with Bernardo Faria in the video titled "very good posture control from closed guard by Karel Pravec". This man right here used to destroy Coach Firas Zahabi and UFC legend GSP back in the day (when they were lifting heavy in their young 20s, and were much stronger than Professor Pravec). I messaged him enquiring about something in his DVD, and he responded to me within a day. Please BJJ Fanatics, release more instructionals with this legend because he's the literal embodiment of the philosophy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Buster Guard The Omoplata Funnel by Lou Armezzani
If you are looking for something different to add to your game, this is the video for you. Buster Guard is not often seen and counters taught even less then its seen. Mastering Guillotine Concepts and Principles by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
Got this because I've really enjoyed the material the Silver Fox has put out on youtube on the Tristar Gym channel and on his own (his anti-viral series kept me sane in the early COVID days). Great details and very comprehensive in terms of planning for the common reactions your opponent may give you. If you have something like the John Danaher Front Headlock ETS instructional I would say that this complements it very well as it provides a unique perspective on the guillotine/front headlock game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Unorthodox, unexpected, excellent
The Snap Guard by Neil Melanson
This content and its delivery by Neil are both outstanding. I also have "The Catch Wrestling Formula" by Neil, and it also excellent. He has provided answers to many of the questions I had when I was in some of the positions covered in his content. He also provided answers to some of the questions I was too ignorant to even have! He opened my eyes to many possibilities I was unaware of. His techniques are unexpected, unorthodox, and do not require the agility or flexibility of a 7-year-old female gymnast. His delivery is unhurried and comprehensive, and he covers the small details. There is also a tie-in to the Williams Guard (among many other things), which Neil calls the Shoulder Pin, and I appreciate the novel ways Neil shows how to enter into it. Overall, an excellent presentation.

Basics To Advanced: The Half Butterfly Guard by Aaron Benzrihem
Compared to most instructionals, this should be 6 stars. Many people are good at jiu jitsu, but few are as good at teaching it as they are at it. Aaron here is a welcome exception, as his teaching is very well organized, thought our, thorough and concise. “Basics to advanced” is exactly what it is, and the content here is enough to last a long time, seemlessy blending tech, concepts, and connections from one position to the next, couldn’t recommend this enough for anyone interesting in half butterfly, or for improving their butterfly or half guard on its own. I think half butterfly is a great gateway for more old school half players to modernize their game, and Aaron is a great teacher to guide that transition

Sweep The World by Leonardo Saggioro
Sweeps against not just bigger guys, but more experienced partners is something that this video has opened my eyes to. I’m not anywhere close to having them down, but it has definitely opened my eyes to the availability of sweeps. But when you do get one, it feels so good! Top quality video... get you some!

Train With Your Kids by Joel Bouhey
Thank you, Joel, for making an awesome family-focused video! Its been very hard not being able to train these past several months, and while I wrestled informally with my kids, your videos now give me a way to teach them some fundamentals in a fun and engaging way! I believe tons of other dads and moms will probably love this video as well - if we make BJJ fun, then there’s a better chance our kids will want to train more with us. A terrific video!

Kimura Domination by Tom DeBlass
Once again Tom doesn’t disappoint. I have at least ten of his instructionals and his teaching style makes it easy to learn. Like always he explains things clearly and you’ll likely pick up some details you haven’t heard or seen before. If you like the Kimura buy this. On a side note most Toms dvds are no gi but they translate to gi perfectly. Don’t hesitate it’s good stuff.

I can't believe I've played DLR for 10+ years and didn't even know certain concepts and details from Mikey's first volume of the instructional!! It's amazing what Mikey pounds into your brain as to what details unbelievably important to make this position successful, i.e the key details of the frames. Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The most important takedown training you will find online. The key principles are here. Get this or spend 10 years struggling and failing.
Feet To Floor: Volume 1 Fundamental Standing Skills by John Danaher
If you want to learn takedowns, you have to start here. I'm only going to explain a few things but there are a huge number of critical principles in this set that you simply won't find on any other videos. For example, he explains about the importance of breaking grips and setting up your opponent. If you fail to do these two "basic" things, the rest of your throwing technique is guaranteed to fail. He also covers how to use the standard wrestling techniques when wearing a gi. Again, tons of videos show takedowns, but they leave out the key principles and without them, like how to break grips BEFORE attempting a takedown, your wrestling technique will be blocked. The final video about the self defense value of the high single leg is just pure gold. For that tape alone, I'd gladly pay the price for the set.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great details that have improved my Guillotine!!!
Mastering Guillotine Concepts and Principles by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
Great instructional ! I have trained and learned from Silver Fox on a few occasions but had difficulty making notes for future reference. His 2 DVD's are awesome. I can now recall some details he has covered that are solid. After a Private session and few seminars with Karl, I was bale to hit some effective submissions in BJJ competitions soon after. This guillotine DVD is incredible because it covers high percentage concepts that work against a resisting opponent. No matter what level you are, you will learn some important details. Some guys are great at grappling and then you have guys that can make you better. Silver Fox will make you very good. A hidden gem. Thanks :)
