Good instructional. Lots of detail
The Complete Butterfly Guard by Marcelo Garcia
Good instructional. Lots of detail on a deceptively simple position. I have spent a week on this so far and I have a much better understanding of this guard. I only have a ***** to train with at the moment but if you are looking for a video series that you can drill with a ***** then this one is pretty good.

The Closed Guard by Bernardo Faria
Awesome!!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great technique!
A great technique from an upcoming athlete. So far I had a lot of success with it in my gym, since almost nobody knows whats coming. Most people expect a kimura and therefore don't defend the tarikoplata properly. A technique definitely worth knowing. Highly recommended!

Very insightful. A great instructional video for any beginner. Teddy Atlas is one of boxing’s great communicators and trainers and its awesome to see him teaching the fundamentals of the sport he has dedicated over 40 years of his life to. He keeps the viewer wanting more because his methods are far from bland. He paints pictures as he teaching and makes comments to keep things light and fun. Point blank, if you want to learn from one of boxing’s best, get this dvd.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The most underrated of the "Enter the System" series
Kimura: Enter The System by John Danaher
I bought this instructional because I wanted a deep dive into the kimura system as I rarely used kimuras due to a lack of success in the past; and a deep dive is exactly what I got. Similar to all of Prof. Danaher's instructionals, the kimura system goes into extreme detail around entry options, maintaining control, and breaking mechanics. What I think is most impressive though, is how often kimuras become available after you become proficient in this system. Kimuras start to be found almost everywhere and they assist with control as well as submission threats. This instructional is well worth the sale price IF you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn, test and implement Prof. Danaher's kimura system.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Nice video

Secure BJJ Takedowns by Joao Assis
I really like this DVD by Joao Assis. I am a big fan of the body lock and Joao has a lot of useful techniques that I haven't seen, especially the ones with added submissions, you don't get that with your standard wrestling body lock info. I especially became a big fan of Joao and his personality. Look forward to his next DVD.

How To Beat Bigger Guys: Guard by Bruno Malfacine
I've always been one of the lighter guys in Judo and Jiu-jitsu. And being taught techniques by beefier dudes has never really worked out for me. This instructional has really played to some of my advantages I have and really helped me out.

The Modern 50/50 Guard by Patrick Gaudio
While it lacks information on entries (it’s all presented on the assumption you’re already in position) this set has a few key advantages. It extensively covers 50/50 from TOP, someting rarely seen in the very few 50/50 gi resources you’ll find, and it’s also not geared towards only the smaller player. Patrick is a much bigger guy than the athletes in most 50/50 sets you’ll see, and it gives a unique pov on the position because of it, particularly that it doesn’t just focus on unwinding the position but actively attacking it. If you want 50/50 to be more than a stall/footlock spot, and you want to connect sweeps to passes as well, snag this
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Amazing, Comprehensive, Go-to instructional
The guard Retention Anthology: Around and Under by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
If there's one guard retention instructional where you never have to buy another, this is it. I thoroughly enjoy the comprehensive approach of all of Lachlan's instructionals (with Ariel this time), where a top down overview/conceptual is first given, then detailed breakdowns are given, and lastly a recap to refresh the information overload. I think all of Lachlan's instructionals are for deep thinkers of BJJ where the practitioner really wants to know the why's of all the moves. It's presented in a systematic way to tie everything together. Osssss, thank you for putting this out.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The definitive guide to arm bars
Arm Bars: Enter The System by John Danaher
I bought this instructional because I wanted a deep dive into the arm bar system as I rarely used arm bars due to a lack of confidence/success in the past; and a deep dive is exactly what I got. Similar to all the Prof. Danaher's instructionals, the arm bar system goes into extreme detail around entry options, maintaining control, and breaking mechanics. This instructional is well worth the sale price IF you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn, test and implement Prof. Danaher's system. If you do, the benefits will become evident quickly.
