Octopus Guard 2.0
Octopus Guard 2.0 by Craig Jones
There are some cool sweeps and fun submissions, and he does an excellent job of teaching concepts rather than just isolated moves. He’s changed a few things about the general structure of the Octopus Guard compared to the first instructional, and it’s cool to see Craig actively exploring and creating. Some of the material can be implemented right away, while some of the fancier submissions may take a bit more time depending on your level of experience. All the stuff you’ve seen Craig working on recently with Volk and JDM is in here. Super sick one.
Great stuff!

Breaking The Triangle: Escapes, Counters & Sneaky Submissions by Joshua You
One of the strongest aspects of this instructional is the clarity of explanation. Each technique is taught step by step, with strong emphasis on positioning, leverage, and control rather than brute force. The details around entry points, grip adjustments, and common mistakes are especially helpful, allowing practitioners to apply the techniques safely and effectively.
Well Sturctured and Practical Instructions
Toe Fold and Shin Locks by Joshua You
Toe Folds and Shin Locks by Joshua You is a well-structured and practical instructional that explores a lesser-covered but highly effective area of lower-body submissions. Joshua You does an excellent job breaking down concepts that are often overlooked or misunderstood, making the material accessible without sacrificing depth.
