simple and effective
The Folding System by Fernando Reis
Great instructional . Everything is really well explained. Explanations are maybe a bit repetitive at times but the techniques are really good. He likes to keep things simple, and his techniques are simple, yet very effective. That's the way I like it too.

Modern lapel Guards by Kauan Barboza
Modern Lapel Guards Made Easy by Kauan Barboza
Kauan Barboza’s instructional is okay and technically correct, but nothing special. The techniques are clear, but there are many better instructionals out there. Overall, it is decent, but not very impressive. Maybe I feel this way because I have already watched many lapel guard instructionals.

What if they just keep standing up ?
Half the in structural is about getting up and the other half is about keeping them down. This sounds simple but this kind of thing can give BJJ practitioners fits. Especially if you grapple with an MMA fighter. Knowing how to both deal with it but also use it is a commonly over looked skill. This like a lot of Craig’s stuff will make your BJJ more cage effective. I highly recommend it.

The Fastest Way to Becoming Effective in Standing Position
The Fastest Way: To Becoming Effective In Standing Position by John Danaher
I hate single legs so not my favorite Danaher instructional but that's more a matter of preference than an actual problem. It for sure does as advertised by fairly succinctly (by Danaher standards) breaking down the main concepts you need to know in the standing position. He does cover snapdowns and takedowns from the back, it's just a bit heavier on the single leg.
Excellent Conceptual Guide To Guard Passing
Passing the Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
This instructional gives a very clear and systematic understanding of guard passing. John Danaher explains not only the techniques, but also the concepts behind pressure, distance, control, weight distribution, and preventing guard recovery. The details are extremely valuable and help build a strong long-term passing system instead of relying on random techniques. Very detailed, structured, and worth revisiting multiple times. Highly recommended for anyone serious about improving their guard passing.
