Lasso Guard Solutions and Practice Designs (gi)
Lasso Guard Solutions and Practice Designs (gi) by Jorge Valladares
This is a comprehensive look at the lasso. Some of the trademark moves I have hit at the gym. It is a practical guide with workable techniques. It is also good for older grapplers to slow the young ones down.

Essential For Older Grapplers
Learning How to Relax in Jiu-Jitsu by Professor Henry Akins
I have been training like this for a while. Mainly because of guys like Priit Mihkelson's Defensive BJJ. But this instructional really emphasizes the omportance of being relaxed, which is not an option for older grapplers, it is essential. In my 60's, I choose my training partners wisely, but being relaxed through a roll allows me to do 10-minute rounds without really using too much energy. Being like a waterbed in top side is demoralizing and makes grappling fun again.

Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
As a bigger guy who is consistently at the bottom of my weight class, I have always felt like the traditional Bjj pins (side control, mount, etc) weren’t as strong as they should be. A bigger opponent seemed to easily push me off of them when I got into a scoring position. Craig Jones is changing the game with these pins and I felt the impact immediately on the mats. I am now focusing exclusively on controlling their legs as much as possible, then slowly getting to a high percentage submission. Because of this, I am also able to roll for more rounds because my opponents are escaping much less and I am less fatigued. Highly recommend this to anyone one, regardless of belt level. Almost all of my regular training partners commented on how my game has changed after finishing this course!
Well needed.
Closed Guard Reintroduced by Adam Wardzinski
I have noticed that in the 2 years I've been training, the fundamentals have just been slightly taught. At my first academy they would show me a move and three days later its a new one. This is gold what Adam is teaching, so thanks to him and to you bjj fanatics

Drill for Skill Chest to Chest Pin Escapes by Placido Santos
This instructional completely changed how I approach pin escapes. Placido Santos presents a clear, structured system with highly effective drills that build both technique and timing. The chest-to-chest escape concepts are explained in a way that's easy to understand and immediately apply during live training. The emphasis on repetition and skill development makes this one of the most practical defensive instructionals I've studied. A must-watch for anyone looking to become harder to hold down and more confident escaping bad positions. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Perfect Instructional
Systematically Attacking The Guard by Gordon Ryan
This is one of the best guard passing instructionals I've ever watched. Gordon Ryan presents the material in a clear, systematic way that makes complex passing concepts easy to understand and apply. Rather than teaching isolated techniques, he builds a complete passing system that connects everything together. The details, explanations, and overall structure are outstanding, making this valuable for both beginners and advanced grapplers. A must-have instructional for anyone serious about improving their guard passing.
