Understanding The Distance From Guard by Gui Mendes
Awesome! Very very detailed and thorough. I love that he instructs on the different distances of guard. This is a concept Ive become familiar with through experience, and if I wouldve had this when I first started it wouldve helped my game so much more!

Essential Connections: Chest To Back - In Front of the Elbows by Giancarlo Bodoni
I love attacking from the front headlock position so this is the perfect material from one of the best grapplers around very articulate - no doubt from working with Danaher - but not as intense or over indulgent.
good

DEATH PASS!!!

I am so impressed so far with this system, I love pressure passing and anything related to pressure passing so this is quickly becoming a favorite. Great detail, fantastic instructional! Would recommend!
Great instructional
Don't Be Finished: Edging Yourself Out of Danger by Craig Jones
While its fundamental, the stuff Craig reviews is pure gold. The only thing I believe can be improved is the audio. I understand wearing a mic would be annoying to the end user, but possibly a boom mike would be better in these scenarios.
awesome stuff!
Modern Reverse De La Riva by Jason Rau

One of my favourite coaches to pick up tech from. Brandon's attention to detail is outstanding and has a way of breaking down some really intricate movements and makes them feel super simple :fire:🙏
Essential details to add to no gi passing
Modern Split Squat Passing by Jason Rau
Great details to add to passes that I wasn't having success with. These techniques contained the issues I was encountering and laid the passing sequences out with great details in a concise manner.

Very, easy understandable concepts that apply instantly.
Learning to pass!
Flow: The Top Game by Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu
My professor has trained with Cyborg many times and recommend this instructional series. it has seriously changed my pressure and passing game.
Eye opening leg lock setups not found elsewhere
Grand Master Leg Locks by Gokor Chivichyan
Instructional is good in that it shows different setups that I have not seen elsewhere. Each segment was concise and to the point. Unlike Gotdon Ryan’s leg lock instructional it is not defining a system for you. It shows disparate leg locks from different positions including stand up. If you are looking for strategy, transitions, etc look at GR’s instructional which is more comprehensive but also much pricier. Grekor’s is a good follow-up to further explore other setups as well as his style of leg locks.
Great info on leg entanglements
Under Pressure: Leg Entanglements by Brian Glick
Highly recommended if you are (looking) into leg entanglements and leg locks. Mr Glick is an amazing instructor.
A must have for anyone over 40 years old
Ageless Jiu Jitsu: Winning When You're Older and Less Athletic - Bottom game: Gi by John Danaher
This course has helped survive and at sometimes thrive at my academy where I’m one of the older students. I’m 40 and this course has helped me continue to train several times a week with mostly under 30 year olds.

Pat's instructional has plenty of good wrestling drills to incorporate into your training!
outstanding
Dynamic Reverse Guard by Jason Rau
This one has really helped bridge a gap when my DLR breaks down, helps make a natural pathway to pummeling to a productive X guard or other options.
Its Gordon's open guard...
Systematically Attacking From Open Guard Supine Position by Gordon Ryan
Probably my favorite Gordon Ryan instructional I've watched so far. Don't be intimidated by the names of moves or highlights, his open guard really doesn't require any crazy level of mobility, especially compared to some other guard systems out there. Worth noting this instructional is intened to go with his seated guard instructional. Still a ton great standalone contnent that will keep you busy for awhile but you'll probably want to buy both eventually.
Cradle gang !!!
The Blackout Hybrid Pin and Cradle System by David Petrone
David and Vinny's creativity really open my eyes to all the possibilities in the cradle position. My personal favorite from this dvd is the twister/wrestlers pin.
Nontypical Moves That Aren't some Instragram BS
Moves Your Instructor Never Showed You by Malachy Friedman
Malachy teaches some nontypical moves but they work without perfect timing and work with resisting partners. He also shows why they work which allows you to troubleshoot when they do not work for you.
jim
The Progressive System: Canto Choke Mastery by Flavio Canto

C.J.

He is the best. Philosophy, techniques, history of MMA. Great Instructional!
Power Ride
Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Interesting way to look at top position in grappling. Especially useful against bigger and powerful opponents when top pressure just isn’t going to hold up. I recommend this.
Fantastic introduction to fighting
The Winning Fundamentals Of MMA by Chael Sonnen
This course takes a different approach, instead of teaching specific techniques as the main focus, Chael teaches the overall philosophy of a set of techniques primarily and also teaches some specific techniques. If you already have a large library of techniques from other training and want an introduction to the sport of mma, then this is perfect. It will teach you to find your personal fight philosophy and incorperate what you already know into an mma repetrior.
