Jays wrestling is so clean and technical, really love his style, my favourite guy to watch in bjj when it comes to wrestling.
Beneficial for all
How to Defend Against Everyone by Chris Paines
Highly recommend this. Even if Chris himself says that he wouldn't teach some of the concepts here, it's still a gem that prepares you for different bjj journey - an exploration one. Exploration is the fun and sustainable part of grappling for me in the comparison with technique-collecting.
Great Instructional
Turtle Concepts & Escapes by Dinu Bucalet
Great explanation of the position. It's a great compliment to Priit Mihkelson's instructionals.
Creative lapel choke options
Lapel Chokes From Everywhere by Miko Hytonen
Had watched a few of Miko's video's prior to getting this instructional. I love lapel chokes so I figured this would be right up my alley and I was not disappointed. Miko always has some creative tricks that I can easily incorporate into the stuff I already do. If you like lapel choke you will love this instructional.
The only takedown instructional you need
Jiu Jitsu Accelerator: Mastering No Gi Takedowns by Kendall Reusing
Excellent overview. I find myself going back to this always.
Perfect for positional escapes
Exit The System by Garry Tonon
These are easy to understand, follow, and implement in training. With only 6 months of training, I was able to watch this video, go to class, and teach others to use them with high levels of success. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to learn to survive and break your opponents' offensive cycle. The instructional flows well and Garry is a great coach. I purchased this video just under 4 months ago and my BJJ escapes and understanding of positions has increased substantially. I have watched this video for probably 40 hours and I am still learning/improving on the techniques shown. My gym no longer has a coach (because we are located in a rural area) and I used this instructional to help myself/others learn escapes. The arm triangle escape was used in a MMA match by one of my classmates and he said it was the reason he escaped the position. I frequently get submitted, make a mental note of the submission, look it up on this video, and then teach/train the escape the next time we have class. Thank you Garry and I will most certainly purchase other videos from you!
Plan when you watch.

Pilates for BJJ
Hardcore Pilates: Pilates For BJJ and Bad Ass Mat by Gillian Ashdown
A quick breakdown of the three part series: Section 1 - breathing tutorial, classic pilates & BJJ version moves on your back Section 2 - mobility and warm ups Section 3 - Bjj pilates moves on your stomach, side, bridge, open guard, and takedowns. Gillian is an excellent teacher and obviously an impressive athlete. The beginning of the series starts with a breathing tutorial that's critical to success. Definitely recommend for those who want to strengthen their core or have mobility issues.
Lots of Advice Gems
Habits For Highly Effective Jiu-Jitsu by Garry Tonon
I was on the cusp of wanting to return this instructional, but there were SO many great nuggets of wisdom in here that it became a keeper. Garry will give you great rules that are easy to remember to improve your Jiu-Jitsu. He distilled down Danaher's teachings on various things, and it's so interesting to watch. One point of criticism is that this could have used a little more editing. At certain points, Garry's uke wasn't quite sure what to do, and Garry totally reams him out. For the most part it wasn't distracting, but there was one section in particular that was super awkward and took me out of the moment.
