Cradle the world.
The Blackout Hybrid Pin and Cradle System by David Petrone
I love David and Vin's approach that the cradle is not only a wrestler's tool of control, but a submission grapplers best friend to control/pass/submit. If you are a wrestler with no submission grappling experience, this system can help you implement existing knowledge into BJJ or catch wrestling. And from the other side, if you have no wrestling experience but enjoy jiu jitsu, the cradle system as a tool can help open submissions for upper body as well as legs.

Go Further Faster Bundle by John Danaher
From what I've seen so far this bundle was great value. A bit repetitive at times, which I can appreciate is due to trying to hammer in the points, but owise great at keeping focus on the most important aspects of the sport.
Awesome instructional video!

The Fundamentals of Boxing by Teddy Atlas
Teddy Atlas provides a detailed introduction to the principles of boxing. He makes each step easy to follow and practice for new and experienced practitioners. His way of presenting is animated and doesn't follow a script which makes viewers pay attention more closely.

Great and comprehensive overview of all aspects of escaping side control - and switching these into attacks. Broken down into clear steps, clear demos from all angles. Useful to anyone practicing bjj, whatever the level

Leglocks Unlocked by Tum Energia
I have been training BJJ for a little over a year now. In this year I develop a liking for leglocks and always wanted to learn more about it. But always thought the amount of information and details was too overwhelming to begin with. So, I went on the search for content that could provide a detailed instruction that was at a high level but still possible to understand for a beginner. My search ended when I found this DVD. That a beginning white belt understands these high-level techniques is a big indicator of how good the instructions are on this DVD. 10/10 would recommend, worth every single penny and every our I put into it!

Great Half Guard video, from one of the best of all-time!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Gregorian
The Gregorian Lapel Submissions System by Greg Hamilton
I have a lot of videos and this one is the best on Lapel chokes. Professor Hamilton shows in detail how Lapel chokes are used in his system. Once the Lapel is passed to the other hand it's pretty much a done deal , no escape. It's easy to learn from the detailed instructions. Possible counters to the system are addressed. This works for me being a 61 year old half crippled beginner at bjj.

Diamond Concept: The Diamond Guard Frame, Shield, Elegant, Pedal by Xande Ribeiro
As with most white belts my guard retention is horrible. Xande breaks down what is necessary to elevate this part of my game in great detail. Would defin Recommend

Battle Tested Down Under Leglocks by Craig Jones
Great instructional, everything is clearly explained and i was already applying some of the material in sparring in the first week after watching. Could be because i'm a suberb grappler, my partners don't know whats going on or because Craig knows what he should teach. I choose the latter, hope i can learn from Craig in real life one day!

Sneaky Submissions by Kaelum Kalista
Love this series. It provides plenty of setups for subs that many people are unprepared for. Its easy to get someone defending a normal attack and then switch to one form this series and catch someone off guard
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great, but could have been even more on Lucas' killer science
The Science of Guard Passing by Lucas Lepri
As a white belt, I may not know what I’m talking about, but I didn’t feel that this video lived up to its billing as really going deep into the ‘science’ of Lepri’s insane guard passing. I had seen a video on YouTube where he went into detail about his understanding of the importance of posture, base and balance and how those things intercept. I was expecting there to be a lot on the concepts of guard passing here, and then the techniques - but it starts from the techniques, and you have to come to see the concepts rom there . Maybe I have grown used to Danaher’s videos where he explains the concept and then shows it in context. At the same time, I am at this point in time facing simpler guards. Lucas says that he always faces the knee shield or reverse de la Riva, so I would imagine this video is great for blue belts and above. Given the title, it would have been great to have more on opening guards from different postures and bases (Lucas is generally stood up in most of the techniques). Instruction on even how to properly stand etc, or exercises around keeping balance would have been useful too. Or maybe I just expect too much… He is one of the greatest guard passers of all time as I understand it, so it would have been cool to have a more comprehensive video going from simpler guard passes, up to these slightly more complex passes to counter the knee shield/de le Riva as he mentions. Admittedly, I have not yet watched the whole instructional, so there may be different approaches later in the video. If you’re comfortable attacking a guard from standing, then for sure you will learn a lot. Lucas’ instruction is very clear, and you can see the common themes between all his passes - sticking close and pinning the hips etc, always keeping one grip, following your opponent once passed to ensure position etc. Just would have liked more on the totality of his brilliant science.
Extremely helpful!

The Gracie Secrets: Closed Guard by Kyra Gracie
This is a two hour instructional on the closed guard bottom and covers a broad range of topics with the aim of improving your effectiveness and efficiency when you are in the closed guard bottom position. The material in summary includes getting the closed guard; how to efficiently and effectively maintain and dominate the closed guard bottom position including gaining the back; submissions (kimura, guillotine, cross collar choke, armbar, triangle and several submissions from the over-hook); and a number of effective sweeps. Importantly the instructional also addresses what to do when the opponent attempts to break and pass your guard or use your lapel to choke you when in your closed guard. Kyra’s instructions are clear and easily understood. Kyra’s approach to teaching is to go through the technique in detail several times and then she reviews the key points to making the technique a success. For some techniques, to add to the clarity of the technique Kyra performs the main motions without the uke. I liked that for many of the submissions Kyra addressed the likely responses from the opponent and a good example of this was the detail provided for the triangle choke. Sound and picture quality are good. The instructional was filmed with a fixed camera and also a stabilized handheld camera, so the quality, angles of view and range are excellent. I think this instructional is largely targeted at white and blue belts. The level of detail provided for each technique is excellent and a good example is the cross collar choke. If you are wanting to improve your closed guard skills, then this instructional would be a good place to start.
Response from BJJ FanaticsThanks so much for your detailed review! :hugging:Good overview of the darce
Good breakdown of the submission from various positions with details that are often left out of other videos. Helped me troubleshoot some issues I was having.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:best money I ever spent in an instructional
The Battle Tested Half Guard by Bernardo Faria
Bernardo's half guard is my go to game as an older grappler (47 year old purple belt). This really works! This ereis (as well as the no-gi version) has revolutionized my game and I recommend this series to everyone who wants to have an efficient game.

Good to see what makes the king tick. If you’ve been training a while and are competitive there’s nothing here that you don’t already know. I’d suggest buying one of the instructional’s instead.

The Single Strap Back Take Encyclopedia by Bernardo Faria
Once on a open mat, I Tomae Nage a Blue belt & he took it badly. This Single Strap Back Take looks like another technique that will make another overconfident belt holder fish food. Sheep like to sport weapons too & Single Strap Back Take looks like an awesome weapon. You have to drill your techniques till you react with ease. Going to drill this so when I show up on open mat again only fellow white belts will want to roll with me.
