Can't hold me down!
Unstoppable Standups by Chris Paines and Charles Harriott
I have been kickboxing since 2002 and practicing Jiu-Jitsu since 2008. I have always viewed my Jiu-Jitsu as my first line of defense for standing back up and my game has reflected that. With these added Concepts and new ways of framing my ability to stand up from previously pinned positions has increased dramatically. 10/10 would highly recommend.
My Favorite Half Guard Instructional
The Pillars: Half Guard Bottom by Stephen Whittier
This was one of the first videos I bought on bjjfanatics and it was amazing. Whittier takes you through the entire half guard so you not only know what techniques to apply, you will understand the game from a fundamental and conceptual level. This isn't a flashy video. It's even a tad bit boring at times. But get through it and your game will improve immensely. For example, Whittier showed a very simple technical detail when applying an underhook to counter the whizzer. You simply turn your palm facing outward and your opponent cannot whizzer you. I tried this against a higher belt that outweighed me by 90 pounds and his whizzer was shut down so he had to try something else. This simple thing was missed in every other half guard instructional that I've seen, and I've seen many of them.

Great instructional
The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
I really like how Lachlan explains things. He is so thorough and makes sure that you understand not just the move, but the concept behind the move. He intermixes some clips of the moves in action as well as thorough explanations of what could go right and wrong (hence the length of this instructional). As a brown belt working on my black, understanding concepts matters more to me that just the indivdual steps of the move. 5 stars.

The Best
The Pillars Guard Passing by Stephen Whittier
The course begins with showing the correct posture, and then maintaining that posture while relentlessly shifting your hips and body weight to effortlessly float around the legs of your opponent. This is a golden course. It's not heavy on techniques, just simple and easy to understand concepts that work without a lot of memorization.
