Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Overview of Armlocks
The Straight Armlock Anthology by Lachlan Giles
I've never been a big armlock guy, but making a lot of use of the shoulder crunch position and the head and arm control has really given me a new angle to attack from. Previously I loved kimuras from everywhere but had some of the problems Lachlan briefly discusses here where you can get shut down by larger opponents from half guard, but using the shoulder crunch I can get my hips free a lot easier and either attack the choi bar like he teaches or go with a Kimura. The volumes that I liked the most went into half butterfly and closed guard because the content was easy to understand and readily applicable, but I would like the opportunity to drill some of the other content so I get more use from the set. This is a great instructional for anyone looking to add armbars to their game with the added bonus of looking flashy with hitting choi bars.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
Excellent instructional video written by a person who studies jiu jitsu, and uses a analytical approach to solving the challenges of each position. This video has the ability to improve/ change the way you approach all positions on the mat. I have practiced the techniques and used them when rolling. The proof of concept is in my ability to successfully escape from dominant positions.

If you are new to BJJ I highly recommend the Go Further Faster series to supplement your gym training. Get the Pin and Turtle escapes video first, then get the half guard video then this one.
