The Chair Guard by Nisar Loynab
Great
attacking the back
Timeless Kimura Seatbelt by Rafael Lovato
Great instructional . Everything is really well explained. Explanations are maybe a bit repetitive at times but the techniques are really good. He likes to keep things simple, and his techniques are simple, yet very effective. That's the way I like it too.
Great instructional for butterfly guard!

Middle Ground
The Chair Guard by Nisar Loynab
First Let me start with I know absolutely nothing. Chair guard has helped me on Two fronts as a baby blue belt. One: It slows people down, because they can no longer Knee Cut or get to Head Quarters. Two: It links Seamlessly with Two other guards I use "Cobra Guard" By Johnny Tama ( This happens if they break my foot open in chair guard or they are anticipating it because I use it so much, Look it up its crazy how well it with chair) and "Tarantula Guard " ( I try to start in this guard and if my spider foot slips out or gets moved I immediately clasp it together and create the "Chair" Guard. This guard is ****** versatile. The threat of the back takes alone makes this worth it. But what makes this my middle ground is it flips the dynamic that would usually benefit the guard passer. But when it's combined with these other two? I've genuinely found a system of guards that compliment each other and provide different Looks that force the guard passer into situations that allow me take advantage without getting beat up or having to be super strong. Went to a different gym rolled 4 times. No one could pass my guard. After the black belt made a joke that I won't stay blue belt very long. Again I know it isn't me cause I know nothing out side of these guards. My entire bottom game is centered around these guards now. Just. Get. Them. I promise that Light will spark and you remember this long winded rant. "The Chair Guard" by Nisar Loynab "The Tarantula Guard" by Dominique Bell "The Cobra Guard" by Johnny Tama

Darce Destruction Review
Darce Destruction by Sean Yadimarco
Great Instructional. Short, sweet, and easily digestible, like a probiotic cookie. Lots of Darce options, from many different positions you get to regularly in training. If you have trained for a bit, you will likely be familiar with a few of these... but there are most likely several new options in here for you as well. A must for any Darce fan.

Would 100% recommend buying this early in your journey
The guard Retention Anthology: Around and Under by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
This is hands down the best guard retention instructional available. It’s over 10 hours of content, and it has paid off for me at every stage. I bought it as a white belt and I’m rewatching it now as a purple; its value only grows as your understanding deepens. A truly unpassable, structured guard opens up your entire game, and Ari and Lachlan break everything down with exceptional clarity and detail. The material is usable from Day 1, and you’ll feel the difference in your sparring immediately. I’ve collected 27 instructionals in my BJJ Fanatics library, and this one sits firmly in my Top 3. Lovato’s Top Game Devastation will always have a special place as my first purchase, and Lachlan’s Half Guard and Kimura Anthologies are absolutely worth the investment too.
