The Pressure Passing Manual by Marco Barbosa
Pressure passing is really part of the invisible art of BJJ. This video has all the great drills and concepts to take you to the next level. It also makes you aware of your hips and how pressure really is one of the most important aspects of this sport!

Amazing techniques but not as in-depth as I had hoped
The Running Man & The Baby Bridge: Essential Postures To Keep You Safe by Priit Mihkelson
I found Priit through the series of BJJ Globetrotter seminars he has taught that are available online. His approach is very different, but very effective. Following his system has absolutely transformed my turtle defenses, and as I work through the other positions (Running Man, Hawking, Sitting Turtle, etc) I expect it to transform my side control as well. When these new DVDs came out I purchased them almost immediately. That said, I am slightly disappointed. The techniques are still exceptional and the instruction is quality, but Priit does not go into as much depth here as I had hoped. I feel more informed than I was from watching the free content available on this system, but I was hoping that this series would cover the "next level" of combinations, counters, and escapes that he references but does not explain. For example, his seminar discusses using baby bridge as a defense against guillotines and arm triangles, but the "how" of those defenses is not covered in the baby bridge section of this instructional. Similarly, he mentions the possibility of chaining the positions with escapes, but does not consistently go into the details of finishing those escapes, or when which combination is appropriate. He mentioned that the system can be integrated with traditional frames and guard retention, but does not entirely show how. He feels a conflict, I think, of how much time to spend explaining the technique compared to convincing people why they should try a technique that is so different from what their instructor showed them. So, four stars because the content that is covered is excellent and Priit is an exceptional instructor. His system has absolutely transformed both my top and bottom game in terms of how I think about underhooks and positional control. But only four stars because this instructional is only a bare introduction to the system, not a complete guide, and indeed may not make complete sense without also purchasing the Turtle and Sitting Turtle instructionals.

The Diamond Protocol by Ethan Benda
I always said I felt like I knew what I needed to do when rolling but I would get to tired to do it! That split second where you need that explosion of energy to advance to a better position or get that submission. I made a commitment to devote 12 weeks to this program and with 3 workouts left, I can tell you my cardio is better than it has ever been! Do the workouts follow the instruction and you will 100% improve!! GAME CHANGER!!
Response from BJJ FanaticsCongrats for your hard work and achievement! Keep it up!Sila Partera!!

No Gi Takedowns Made Easy by Rick Hawn
If you're a judoka that is doing bjj and want more no gi throws this will be perfect since it's many ashi waza with no gi grips. Since mordern day judo has doesn't teach no gi takedowns. If you're someone that does only bjj ,but has little or no experience standing experience. This video might great introduction into ashi waza (foot sweeps) since ashi waza in lacking in modern day bjj. However for those still new or lack stnad up expect to find ashi waza very to learn ,but very hard to hit successfully. Since ashi waza is easy to learn ,but difficult to master. Overall this video is more geared for Judokas doing no gi bjj Great introduction for BJJ people to learn footsweeps

The Ground Marshal Guard by Neil Melanson
It’s not just Neil’s pedigree as an MMA coach and unique style that makes his instructionals valuable, it’s the fact that in everything he teaches there is the consideration of getting punched. This has changed the dynamic of my training, if anyone has trained in Jiu Jitsu then gone to an MMA club to grapple you will know what I mean. Neil provides innovative no nonsense pathways to manhandling and submitting your opponents in an engaging manner and with great details. I have gone back to this DVD loads of times to revisit content. It’s a perfect example of why instructionals are so valuable to your learning process. This was the first DVD of Neils I have bought. Going on about 5 now #stayfilthy

This purchase did not live up to expectations. Most of the sparring sessions seem to flow style not competitive normal training sessions. It would have been helpful to have some narration. Grade at a C as best, this was my most disappointing purchase from your company to date !

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:I am recovering from significant
Half Guard Passing and Dynamic Pins: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I am recovering from significant injuries incurred in an accident earlier this year, and I am fairly certain that a lot of the more athletic movements I used to do in order to pass the guard will no longer be as effective for me as they once were. I can already tell that forcing into a half guard position will be much more effective for me and allow me to continue to progress in the art that I love! I look forward to continuing to study these videos and improving myself a little more each day.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Control, pressure and submit
Side Control Attacks & Submissions: Old School Evolution by Fabio Gurgel
This instructional teaches how to submit from and improve your ability to control from side control top. The submissions are described as old school and I believe that old school in this context is to control, pressure, and submit opponents with simple (i.e. efficient) and effective submissions. Fabio Gurgel is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu 6th degree black belt and he has written two BJJ books and created a range of instructionals. This instructional consists of four volumes and the submissions are organised around how the opponents far arm is trapped / controlled in relationship to your head and where the opponent’s inside arm is placed in relationship to your body. Volume one covers initially the options to position yourself in side control top, with the aim of keeping your opponent’s back flat on the mat and the submission techniques taught include armbars, kimura, chokes and a shoulder lock. Volume two covers armbars, a triangle and an americana. Volume three covers multiple chokes including kata gatame. Volume four includes techniques to frustrate the opponent’s attempts to escape and several control techniques. I find that Fabio is a great teacher. He presents well, is easy to understand and when he describes the technique step by step, it accurately reflects what he is doing. I note that sometimes other instructors describe techniques and when you watch them demonstrating the technique, they are making other movements, but these movements are not mentioned. I also like that Fabio is wearing a blue Gi and his uke a white Gi, as I think this makes it easier to see what is happening. Sound and picture quality are good. The angles of the technique displayed are appropriate. I personally like submissions described as old school, as from my experience they work. Additionally, you generally don’t have to be super athletic or flexible. This instructional will appeal to people who wish to learn solid submissions from side control top and also improve their ability to control their opponent in side control. This instructional is 2 hours long.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A massive and comprehensive instructional
Side Control Masterclass by Matheus Gonzaga
This is a massive and comprehensive instructional, which teaches submissions from side control top including from knee on belly and kesa gatame. Matheus Gonzaga is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and at the time of writing this review he had created two other instructionals. You would recognise him if you have seen any of the John Danaher, BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster instructionals, as he is John’s uke. This instructional comprises eight volumes and in total is just under 11 hours long. The first volume teaches how to maintain side control, transition to north-south and control the opponent’s inside arm in preparation to applying a submission. The balance of the instructional focuses on submissions including shoulder locks (e.g. omoplata, monoplata, baratoplata & more), wrist locks, arm locks (armbars and americana) including dealing with the opponent’s defences, and strangles and chokes (e.g. triangle, baseball bat, paper cutter, north-south, cross-collar, lapel, loop & more). In addition, to the submissions Matheus teaches knee on belly concepts, how to mount properly and taking the back from side control. If you always wanted to know how to do the Scorpion death lock, well Matheus has this covered to. Matheus teaches at a relaxed pace and adds insights to the techniques as he teaches. Evidenced by this instructional Matheus is very knowledgeable about side control from the top and the submissions available to the top player. Each technique is performed multiple times and at different angles. I would encourage Matheus to be mindful of the need to modulate his voice (after Vol 1 this is not a problem). Sound and picture quality are good. The angles of the technique displayed are appropriate. Overall, there is so much in this series, with each volume being over an hour long. In my opinion there are definitely some cool submissions in this series. This instructional will appeal to those people who wish to improve their ability to control and submit from side control top or learn additional submission skills. The price is most reasonable, particularly when you consider the huge amount of good content.

Danaher is an instructor's instructor. As usual this series is comprehensive, detailed and systematic-the way real BJJ should be taught. There is no scrimping on the length (as too many BJJ Fanatics products do) and you are truly receiving world class instruction with all the details.
