Guard Retention Made Easy - Firas Zahabi
Guard Retention Made Easy by Firas Zahabi
Firas is a great instructor, capable of simplifying and demonstrating techniques in an easy-to-understand and concise way. I really enjoy learning from his videos. He provides useful and highly practical techniques that truly work. This isn’t a comprehensive instructional covering all guard retention techniques and systems, but rather a collection of highly effective and applicable techniques that can make a real difference.
Rolling Strong - Phil Daru
Great instructional on strength training and stretching exercises. Phil Daru is a true expert, and this content is highly valuable. I especially appreciate that it includes a section on stretching. The instructional isn’t too long and is specifically tailored for grapplers. You can easily implement it directly into your routine. However, you do need to have equipment at home or perform the strength exercises in a gym. Highly recommended!

Fundamental Jiu Jitsu by Bruno Frazatto
Great instructional! As an older beginner, I really enjoy using this series together with my son. Bruno explains everything in a clear and simple way. The positions and techniques are presented concisely and recorded from multiple angles, which makes them easy to understand. He often references how to teach the positions to kids, but I find it highly recommended for older beginners as well. Highly recommended!

Invincible Basics by Renato Migliaccio
The first part is packed with drills that not only improve cardio but also help build your body specifically for BJJ. In the other three parts, Renato provides the basics of BJJ with great detail. Extremely useful! As a beginner, I really enjoy this series and have learned a lot. It covers a wide range of techniques and offers a solid foundation for anyone starting out.
Solo Drills for Jiu Jitsu Ground Series - Ari Goldman
Solo Drills for Jiu Jitsu Ground Series by Ari Goldman
I really enjoy Ari’s videos. I was looking for solo drills to do at home while recovering from an injury, and I came across some of his 30-minute videos online—they were excellent. After a few weeks of practicing those movements, I noticed I was even doing my stand-ups in everyday situations the BJJ way! I later checked out his content on BJJ Fanatics and decided to purchase his videos. As always, they’re great—highly practical and especially useful for beginners. In this series, Ari demonstrates the drills and explains their purpose and importance in BJJ scenarios. He first shows the real BJJ situation with a partner, then breaks it down into a solo drill you can do on the mat. These drills are not only great for building efficient technique but also work well for cardio if you combine them into 20–30 minute sessions or longer. Highly recommended!

Side Control Setups & Submissions by Bernardo Faria
Another great instructional from Bernardo. As always, everything is explained clearly and in detail. I enjoy learning from him as a beginner because he provides important details in a slow and clear manner. This series is especially valuable to me, as it gives perspective on how to set up a submission and establish proper positioning before going for it. It really brings to life the saying: "Posture before submission." Great video, as always, from Bernardo!

Modern X guard Jon Satava
The Modern No Gi X Guard by Jon Satava
Very creative, great techniques, only issue Is that as someone who is big and experienced, I wish there wee 2-3 good entries rather than just going for 10-15 moves that assume your opponent fell out o the sky and into the x guard. Dude is very good from here and is fluid between technique. Ashi Kari is a great follow up, yet I think for the average person entries are imperative. One y
