Professor Henry Akins out did himself again! As he points out the sarf hold is a position that you can catch so often or even set it up by suprise that I really wanted to understand this position and how to utilize it for my offense. Before this instructional it was just my last resort pin to not get taken the back. By diving into this details of keep the hold and counter their escape attempts it opened a whole new spot of attack submissions from there or even with the hold itself. It's about utilizing your hips and controlling the elbow and pf course proper weight distribution and shift! Highly recommend!!!

While there are many instructional DVDs on no-gi rubber guard, I think there are very few on rubber guard techniques in the context of wearing gi. For this reason, I believe this DVD is particularly valuable. Furthermore, the credibility of this DVD is enhanced by the fact that Prof. Mason has actually used these techniques to win international black belt competitions.

B. F. created an on point instructional about the cradle. Actzally he outlined that the same mechanics in terms of upper body and limbs work for guillotine and cradle. The passing guard and retaining guard videos/lectures are incredible. They’re very information dense, which is absolutely perfect. I’ve been going through the videos slowly and actively trying what I’ve learned when I go to classes. I’ve gotten noticeably better in a short time. But make no mistake, you have to commit to these videos/lectures. It’s like going back to school, but C’s won’t suffice. I’m excited to watch, practice, and incorporate what I learn in these videos, into live rolls. I can hardly wait until I master the basics so I can move on to more nuanced bjj fanatics lessons.

I am a guy who loves to wrestle up. I only did it out of half guard. Although I really like half guard I wanted to substitute solid wrestling besides the dogfight. This instructional turned out to be fantastic for that. For those who don't know, Tarsis is a veteran on the mats, and during his prime he applied all these techniques, it's proven that it works. Tarsis shows his best guard passing arsenal, i had the opportunity to aplly some of those, and i can tell you it works, simple but extremelly effective. If you manage to get the grips as he shows in the instructional, i assure you, you will pass. Can't wait to see another instructional from Tarsis.
