Side Control Savagery by Kyle Sleeman
Side control is my favorite position to maintain control and attack from so it was a no brainer to get this. Professor Sleeman showed me how little I actually knew, but how devastating and controlling side control can really be! His positioning and attacks flow so well together that it gives you a go to move for every counter and then also a plan B! With so many details and angles, probably one of the best instructionals I have bought! Highly recommended!

Moves Your Instructor Never Showed You by Malachy Friedman
I've been a fan of Malachy for a while now, I have a couple of his instructionals from another site and his material is innovative to say the least. This instructional has a bit of everything but I would say it's submission heavy which is never a bad thing. There's no filler in this series, Malachy breaks each technique down perfectly giving you what you need to know to start implementing them into your game and I have to say I think every technique in this instructional is worthy of going into your game. I honestly think some of these are genius level. Follow him on Instagram and you'll get a glimpse of what your about to buy.

Cradle of Filth by Neil Melanson
This is a great instructional to add a new set of techniques to your game. Since I've studied this particular course (white belt at that time), I've been able to control, win positions and even submit higher belts (even experimented purple and brown belts) just following the instructions and concepts of coach Neil Melanson. Also the video is very much enjoyable due to the sense of humour of coach Melanson, absolutely a gem. Fully recommended.

Foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Bernardo Faria
I am a blue belt but sometime I forget the basics or skip some steps. The scope of these videos is very wide and you will find all you need. Moreover, I am french and sometime it is difficult for me to understand the details. But it is not the case with Bernardo. He speaks enough slowly and everybody can understand with few english knowledges.

This instructional goes over how to get out of leg entanglements in various unique ways. At the beginning they show basic heelhook defense, but it mostly goes over how to get out of leg entanglements and put your opponents in bad positions. They go over the outside ashi, 50/50 and kani basami, which they call Z-guard. Many of these counters I haven't seen before on instructional, but you can see most of them in the Ruotolos' matches. Modern solutions to modern positions.

Make Z Guard Great Again by Craig Jones
Craig doesn't skimp on details and actively tries to avoid just "implying" anything, he wants to show a move thoroughly, how to do it, all common defenses used against that move, how to react to the defense, etc. Watching this multiple times is a must and is absolutely worth it, referencing it will also be a good idea to pick up on small details if you may have missed when trying these moves on the mat.

The Modern Back Attack System by Kaynan Duarte
Kaynan goes over attacks, setups and controls . He shows little tips and tricks that make the moves work and he's organized things well so its easy to find what you're looking for. The techniques he shows are very modern and what you'll see good no-gi players using now. Many of the techniques are unique and I've never seen them before. This instructional exceeded my expectations.

Rick flows threw the lessons, so its easy to follow. I recomend this video because i think it makes learning takedowns less scary compared to trying to learn traditional gi throws. I gained a new understanding of kuzushi from a no gi perspective. Rick is also easy to follow as an instructor!

When I first started Jiu Jitsu, I struggled understanding how to effectively triangle people. Especially because I’m a smaller guy and have stubby legs, this instructional helped me understand the mechanics of a proper triangle choke.

Passing the Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Danaher is a great teacher, but likes to explain everything in extreme detail. While this means sometimes the amount of information can e a little overwhelming, ultimately this is a good thing as you come away with a deeper understanding of the subject than you would if you were just copying someone else's drills. If you find his presentation style a bit much, stick with it! Because at the end of the day his body of work is pretty much the most complete understanding of jiu-jitsu and ground based fighting we have right now.

I love Marcello Garcia’s teaching, he teaches techniques that are battle tested and effective. It’s easy to understand and as previous stated applicable. He’s a smaller guy and I can appreciate that because I’m no monster. He understands how great technique can over come strength.

I have most of Neil's instructionals. Every time I find a weakness in my game I buy a new Melanson instructional. Turtle position is where i was getting beat. Black and brown belts would break me down then take my back or submit me from there. After watching this instructional, learning the concepts and drilling the most fundamental moves I can escape turtle or even attack from there. Turtle is often an overlooked position. If your turtle is weak you need this instructional.
